Atrium Health Navicent is buzzing with excitement to spotlight Vanetta Howard as its latest BEE Award recipient as a result of her going beyond exceptional expectations to support the care provided by our nurses! A unit secretary in the labor & delivery unit at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, Vanetta makes the extra effort to get to know her patients and strives to make each of them feel special, even those that may not have family support. When one recent patient made mention of not having clean clothes, she took the patient’s clothes home with her and washed, dried and folded them herself. This in addition to other efforts such as picking up extra shifts when needed, are just a few of the ways that Vanetta helps foster an environment in which care is provided For All!

Why Did New York State Hospitals Rank So Poorly? Since 2015 we have noted the high pressure injury rates of NYS hospitals and we’ve noted the poor quality performances of our neighborhoods’ hospitals. How can this be when so much time and attention is placed on improving quality? Not surprisingly one particular problem was noted - “pressure ulcers” that one confounding problem that, in some hospitals, seems to defy efforts using preventative measures. We founded Care Improvement Strategies LLC to attempt to increase the focus of our area hospitals on the importance of accurate assessments and timely and consistent preventative interventions. Thank you, Dr. McLoughlin, for your timely and comprehensive review of NYS hospital’s challenges. Why Did New York State Hospitals Rank So Poorly? Colleen C. Not just another Naturopath but your one stop serious shop to heal heart, body, mind. Programmes designed to address the underlying root causes holistically.
The ONLY ONE good thing after the loss of our business, our BHP mining income, friends and family respect and connection, was that it brought me back on track to my passion, health freedom. It has been a hard slog to find your authentic voice amongst a very loud silencing of those who speak out.. at a time when healing from UN-worthy, UN-seen, UN-heard as an adoptee.. a combination of stepping into my Authentic self when usually I would hide, and appease. To get to this point where I have faced everything telling me not to speak my mind, my voice, my knowledge is not enough, my credibility is not enough, my opinion doesn't matter, has been the best time to heal and learn who I really am. THAT is the only thing I am grateful for from this evil malevolence and that I really have learnt so much I have trusted in my life as protection, has all along been the cause of the pain. Also why I am a passionate adoptee advocate not within the normal system of doing things. Understanding the biology of trauma and how this past 4 years has added to the deep trauma to those who have rejection and abandonment in their history and generational wounds to heal. Many argue it will not change anything at the top, but it may just bring further awareness to the public of the actual facts that they have been hidden from in a way that they will at least listen a bit? and maybe question more in the future and not just blindly keep trusting this machine that has gotten out of control!! Sending love acceptance and healing to all those who made decisions because they felt they had not choice, or who trusted the system. Glad I have always questioned this line of advice from my own personal family history and no science will convince me to ever trust that form of medical manipulation ever again!

What a story! One that we need to share broadly! The Ensign Pennant partnership! We are cut from the same cloth. Parellel core values, both organizations together on a mission to improve the care continuum. To provide life changing service in the post acute space. Our skilled nursing partners hosted some of us this week where we openly talked about what we need to do in order to improve our care across our organizations. Main takeaways- these are true partners, we need to embrace the EPCC partnership and treat them like cluster partners. Learn their buisness, meet often, share best practices, assist with opportunities and collaborate on new and innovative ideas on how to improve our care continuums, but most of all….tell the story. We have had significant growth in both Skilled nursing and HH Hospice we need to ensure our new employees know this relationship! So….tell the story!

Why Internal Medicine? In this video, Joseph, an RN on H81, talks about the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients and patient needs, the close collaboration of teams, and the "great coworkers". There's good conversation and great teamwork, on the unit and during team outings. That's why, after three years on H81, he does not see himself leaving any time soon. Curious about H81 and how we can help you get in touch with the reason you got into nursing? Let's talk. #ClevelandClinic
