On the occasion of World Health Day, promoted by World Health Organization, I'd like to share some thoughts on the importance of building an empathetic relationship between caregivers and care receivers. This process requires a significant conceptual shift: from being solely focused on providing services to those in need, with an emphasis on accessibility, to adopting an approach that values flexibility and listening, in order to maximize the effectiveness of the therapeutic journey. Establishing an empathetic connection is a dynamic journey that needs to be nurtured by both parties, health professionals, and patients alike. This paradigm demands from caregivers not just the willingness, but also the ability to leverage and refine their interpersonal skills alongside their technical expertise. Patients are in a state of well-being when well-being and health are goals that they themselves are committed to achieving. In such a scenario, both parties work towards the same end, and when a goal is deeply shared, the outcomes will follow. Adopting this perspective entails a substantial change in the paradigm of care delivery: by placing shared goals and human relationships at the forefront, the choice becomes crucial to the success of this approach. I encourage colleagues and patients to reflect on how vital it is to build and maintain empathetic relationships in the healthcare journey. It is through mutual understanding and joint support that we can aspire to a health future characterized by more personalized, effective, and humane care. The fact that you can measure your blood pressure alone does not mean you have to, it is crucial to be aware of the existence of options. #WorldHealthDay #WHO #EmpathyInCare #HealthcareInnovation #HealthAndWellness

🌍✨ Today is World Health Day with the theme, "My Health, My Right," emphasising the importance of health as a fundamental human right. Here are some key facts to keep in mind: - ✅Access to healthcare is a basic human right: Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare services without discrimination. ✅Health is multifaceted: It encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being, and each aspect is equally important. ✅Empowerment through knowledge: Understanding our health rights enables us to make informed decisions and advocate for better healthcare policies. ✅Health disparities persist: Despite progress, inequalities in access to healthcare still exist globally, highlighting the need for continued advocacy and action. ✅Prevention is key: Promoting healthier lifestyles and preventive measures can reduce the burden of diseases and improve overall well-being. ✅Collaboration is essential: Governments, healthcare providers, communities, and individuals must work together to ensure everyone's right to health is upheld. Good, quality accessible healthcare as the right of all is what we exemplify here at Lily Hospitals. Let's unite in spreading awareness and taking action to make health a priority for all! As part of our subject PEV-113 Upper Intermediate Ability, we recently had an insightful group discussion on Sustainable Development Goal 3, which emphasizes ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages. Our conversation revolved around two crucial questions: 1️⃣ How can we address the social determinants of health in low-income communities? 2️⃣ How can healthcare systems be designed to prioritize prevention and early intervention? Key takeaways from the discussion included: 1. Social Determinants of Health like access to clean water, education, and economic stability are fundamental in improving public health outcomes. 2. Prevention and Early Intervention are essential to reducing the burden on healthcare systems. Technology, telemedicine, and community health programs can play a pivotal role in achieving this. 3. The importance of government policies, training healthcare workers, and providing economic opportunities to improve overall well-being in low-income communities. This discussion reminded us that improving health outcomes requires a multi-dimensional approach, involving governments, communities, healthcare providers, and even technology working together to achieve goal of Good Health and Well-being. #SustainableDevelopment #HealthAndWellBeing #Healthcare #PublicHealth #CommunityHealth #UnitedNations #SocialDeterminantsOfHealth #Prevention

Henrietta Szutorisz, PhD - Thank you so much Henrietta for your support in making #ALovingOrganizationConsortium and this livestream a reality. I'd add to your thoughtful post this: "No force on earth can stop an idea whose time has come." -- Victor Hugo It appears, after decades of running healthcare into the ground through command and control, fear-based, now becoming obsolete leadership and management models, love is an idea whose time has come. Love only know how to play win/win rather than fear-based win/lose, which will eventually turn to lose/lose. However, for those afraid of change, know this: Unlike fear, love will not try to impose itself on anyone. It will simple do what it does, gently pull those who resonate with it to being more loving/resolving chronic fear-based problems. It will also connect kindred spirits and produce synergies that align with how nature and the universe work, always synergisticly. Like the first light, a new day is dawning for healthcare and our world, making the incredible complexity required by fear, elegantly simple--a new vision for healthcare--gently transforming fear to love. It's time to give love a chance. 💙💙💙 #ALovingOrganization #LovingWorkflows #3DHealthcare #LovingSystemsThinking
