Greenhouse gas emissions continue to fall in the EU! 📉 The latest Eurostat data show that greenhouse gas emissions in the EU fell by 4⃣% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year, while the EU's GDP grew slightly. The biggest reductions in emissions were achieved by 🇧🇬 Bulgaria: -15.2% 🇩🇪 Germany: -6.7% 🇧🇪 Belgium: -6.0% The economic sectors with the largest reductions compared to the first quarter of 2023 were electricity and gas supply (-12.6%) and households (-4.4%).
