📢 #ATTRACTproject 📢 How do EU innovation programs foster serendipity in research and business? 🧐 #CASEIA investigates the socioeconomic impacts of these projects by focusing on how these institutions and businesses achieve innovation. The research team developed an analytical framework to evaluate the impacts across six key dimensions and conducted three case studies: one from a research institution, one from a business, and a control case outside ATTRACT 🚀. 📢 #ATTRACTproject 📢   How do we improve thermal regulation in spacecraft? 🧐 The AHEAD project research team presented their latest advancements at ECSSMET 2024. Focusing on 3D-printed pipe segments with built-in sensing, heating, and energy harvesting, this technology aims to optimize temperature control in space and industrial refrigeration systems 🚀.   At the conference, Hervé Saudan, coordinator of the project, shared insights from the project’s design and testing process, including key protocols like thermal lifetime and leak testing 🔍.   “Sharing the results of our project has allowed us to identify an application that had not yet been considered. 📢 #ATTRACTproject 📢 What impact could #ULTRARAM have on the global memory chip industry? 🧐 QuInAs-ULTRARAM™ Memory ~ Future Compute/AI, a spinout from the Department of Physics at Lancaster University, has won a $30,000 prize 🥇 in the IC Taiwan Grand Challenge for its #ULTRARAM memory technology, developed by Professor Manus Hayne. Combining the speed of DRAM with the non-volatility of Flash, this technology could revolutionize data storage by reducing energy use in data centres and beyond 🚀. It was selected from 72 teams representing 15 countries, with just six winners in total.
