We invited Academician Duan Jin-Chuan to give us a speech on explainable AI (XAI). For me, XAI can help us construct more concise regression models with higher R-square values than traditional regression models. XAI is a useful tool that can enhance our academic studies; however, Prof. Anne Wu still reminded us that a robust theoretical foundation is the most important part of research.

Last week, I had the chance to contribute to the discussion about artificial intelligence in academic research. ✨ The 2023 Hungarian national high school finals in mathematics was used to test the capabilities of the Grok, Claude-2 and GPT-4 AI models. But why was this necessary? 🔍 Since standard mathematical benchmarks are widely available on the internet, it cannot be excluded that the data were used to train the models. Or perhaps they have been fine-tuned to achieve a better result. Therefore, for more realistic approach, the Hungarian National High School Math Exam published at the end of May was chosen, for which it is almost certain that the models were not specially prepared. 🎓 Results?
