To celebrate Earth Day 2024, Zag has taken a look at how several mobility players are contributing to the day’s overarching goal: environmental protection.
“By choosing our electric cargo bikes, we reduced CO2 emissions by an astounding 85,162 kg every year and curb NOX emissions by 323,449 mm. This is equivalent to powering 51 homes for a year and protecting 315 acres of precious forest,” Delivery Mates Marketing and Communications Director Teo Netto told Zag Daily.

🌊 On this year's #WorldOceanDay, we are taking the chance to express that here at Diving Status, we are committed to revolutionizing eco-friendly hull cleaning through our innovative ECOHULLCLEAN system. From 2019 to 2023, we collaborated with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) to develop this cutting-edge solution for biofouling management with reclaim and filtration capabilities.
ECOHULLCLEAN sets a new standard in the maritime industry by:
- Capturing and separating biofouling while purifying the water.
- Enhancing vessel performance and operational efficiency.
- Safeguarding marine ecosystems and promoting environmental stewardship.
This World Ocean Day, we celebrate our dedication to sustainable practices and the transformative impact of ECOHULLCLEAN. Together, we’re paving the way for cleaner seas and a healthier planet for future generations. 🌎🚢

The Australian catbird, also known as the green catbird (Ailuroedus crassirostris), is a unique bird species native to Australia. Here's a concise overview:
1. Description:
- Medium-sized bird, about 29-32 cm long
- Mostly green plumage with distinctive white spotting
- Named for its cat-like wailing call
2. Habitat:
- Found in rainforests and dense forests
- Primarily inhabits eastern Australia, from southern Queensland to eastern Victoria
3. Behavior:
- Generally shy and elusive
- Omnivorous, feeding on fruits, insects, and small vertebrates
- Non-migratory species
4. Conservation status:
As of my last update in April 2024, the Australian catbird is classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List. This means that while local populations may face some threats, the overall population is considered stable and not at immediate risk of extinction.
5. Threats:
- Habitat loss due to deforestation and urban development
- Climate change potentially affecting their rainforest habitats

Tomorrow is World Ocean Day, an annual celebration to raise awareness about the value of our oceans and why we urgently need to protect them. Coles Group is taking action by partnering with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, and has committing $10 million over 10 years, to fund innovative projects focused on solving the most complex and challenging problems facing the Reef. These projects include:
🔵 Working with a local farmer to reinstate a significant coastal wetland in the Reef catchment to restore coastal habitats that can also serve as highly effective carbon sinks.
🔵 Developing the first large-scale seagrass nursery in partnership with Traditional Owners to assist with restoring seagrass at scale across the Reef.
While GBRF is working hard to protect and restore the Reef, earlier this year the Reef suffered its fifth mass bleaching event and it remains one of the most vulnerable ecosystems on the planet.
Through our partnership with GBRF we’ll continue to engage customers, inspire team members and work with suppliers to raise awareness of the need to protect the Reef’s habitats and ecosystems.
