Starting tomorrow, your user experience with AI is changing forever. Do not let September 9th go unnoticed in your life. It's starting with quasi-Agentic AI available in some Apple iPhone models. Apple is calling this Apple Intelligence, bringing us LLMs through conversational bots. I say "quasi-Agentic AI" because, while it will be able to take action for you inside apps on your phone, it won't be a true, autonomous agent. True Agentic AI is different fron Generative AI as the former focuses on autonomy and execution, with systems that can make decisions and act independently. Agentic AI systems can learn from their environment, adapt to new situations, and pursue goals without human intervention. I believe this will be available later in 2025 given the rate of AI innovation. Beyond tomorrow, OpenAI will be delivering 'Strawberry' this Fall at some point. I hope this is their reported Level 2 AI, which will deliver human-level problem solving/reasoners. Essentially, AI that can solve problems at a human level, similar to someone with a doctorate-level education. While the latest news is saying there have been conversations to charge up to $2,000/month for this, I hope that the cost will be significantly less than that. That said, if you consider a 2,000-hour work year, that's $12/hour for a PhD-level assistant at your finger tips. Finally, it's important to note that coupling the quasi-Agentic AI with a conversational bot like Siri is already available, I believe, inside OpenAI's app. I use the app this way today, and, frankly, I don't use it any other way (more on that tomorrow). But for the first time, you don't need OpenAI's app, as you'll have your iPhone to prompt. Game. Changed. The customer experience is about to change forever. Tomorrow is the first day. This is also the start of machine-to-machine driven experiences at the consumer level that are visible to us, or what I call 'Experience Actualization'.
