𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐓𝐇 𝐙𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 With Augmedi being at the forefront of medical education related research, we are proud to announce a step up in our research efforts: A research partnership with the Department of Health Sciences and Technology of ETH Zurich. Augmented reality-based and 3D learning in general gains more and more attention from the medical education industry. These AR and omnichannel technologies are already being tested in a wide range of medical areas and are increasingly becoming available as a teaching tool. Together with ETH Zurich and our existing core partners Balgrist University Hospital and OR-X, we will assess the effectiveness of augmented reality and digital learning solutions in anatomical education. The close collaboration consists of a randomized crossover study where the overall research goal is to compare the effectiveness of learning with AR and other digital solutions versus learning with traditional learning methods. Ultimately, the collaboration could generate highly relevant and evidence-based facts for the scientific community. This can effectively shape the next generation of medical learning – both on current and next-gen devices. 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢 𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐂𝐂𝐀 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 Augmedi was thrilled to participate in the ICCA Future of Health Meeting 2024, held in Zurich. Over 150 attendees from 28 countries gathered to create synergies and share ideas.    As part of the innovative booth section, our team showcased our new medical learning applications, providing attendees with a hands-on experience of next-generation 3D medical education. Our solutions, "TeachApproach" and "TeachAnatomy," were accessible through augmented reality devices, as well as smartphones, tablets, and computers 😎 🖥 📱   Beyond our presentation, we had the opportunity to engage in valuable discussions with healthcare experts from around the globe. The entire Augmedi team had a fantastic time at the forum and would like to extend our sincere thanks to Daniel Borchert and his team from Zürich Tourismus, Schweiz for the invitation and the great organization!

Not too long ago, 4 very motivated and interested students from the Wyss Zurich BioSTARS Summer Camp 2024 pitched our Startup in front of their friends and family at ETH Zürich. It was incredible. Not only did they manage to pitch our start-up in a professional and accurate manner, but also had very limited time to prepare (and only 15 minutes to ask us questions)! However, this did not stop them from creating a well-designed pitch deck for investors and presenting Augmedi in a convincing way! They even manage to answer the huge amount of questions that followed after the pitch. We congratulate our group to successfully completing this challenge. Believe us: We have learned just as much from this session as you! 🚀 We are thrilled to share our recent experience with the Apple Vision Pro!   Our product, TeachAnatomy, is designed to revolutionize how medical students learn anatomy. We’ve built apps that work seamlessly on various platforms, including augmented reality devices, a web app for mobile devices, and desktops.   While we haven’t yet developed a native solution for the Apple Vision Pro, we were amazed at how well our web version performs on this innovative device. With no code changes required, users can effortlessly navigate and interact with tiny anatomical structures just by looking at them! 👀✨   This intuitive interaction highlights the Apple Vision Pro’s impressive capabilities and opens exciting possibilities for our future developments. We’re eagerly looking forward to creating a native Apple Vision Pro version to enhance the learning experience even further.   🔍 Please note: The video may appear blurry due to the foveated rendering technique used by the Apple Vision Pro. Yesterday, the AO Foundation hosted its annual AO Education Institute Day at Universitätsklinik Balgrist. The participants also visited the OR-X, the translational center for surgery. During the visit inside the facility, Augmedi was also present and held a demonstration with the latest innovations in augmented reality for the medical education industry. Our guests could experience a step-by-step photorealistic instruction for a hip approach - in 3D.
