Just take a look at the following facts: → Saudi Arabia is set to host its third Formula One race in just over 15 months. → Saudi Arabia's agreement with Formula One for the race is reportedly worth $650 million over 10 years. → The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is set to host Formula One until at least 2026, after which the race is expected to move to a more permanent location in Qiddiya. → Saudi Arabia has been involved in Formula E since 2018 and has hosted the Dakar Rally since 2020. The Dakar Rally and Extreme E take place annually in Saudi Arabia. → Motorsport initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 framework, aimed at diversifying the economy and developing public sectors. → Saudi Arabia's involvement in motorsport includes hosting major events and sponsoring teams, such as aramco's partnership with Formula One and Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. The 2024 calendar's curtain drop with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix may be the last one for current Formula 1 owner Liberty Media. Saudi Arabia is looking to price Formula 1 at $20 Billion. Liberty Media purchased Formula 1 from CVC in 2016 for $8 billion of enterprise value, which it had bought for $1.7 billion in 2006 and grew fourfold in a decade. Saudi Arabia considering a $20B bid for the Formula 1 There were talks of this deal according to Bloomberg But what could be the motive behind this one now? ❇️ Here’s a few Saudi motorsports initiatives to think about: → 10-year partnership with F1, valued at $45 million annually, starting in 2020 → aramco has a 20%+ stake in Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd with a title sponsorship deal in Aston Martin F1 Team extending until 2028 → Development of the $500 million Qiddiya | القدية F1 Circuit near Riyadh, set to be the longest and fastest → Jeddah’s first internationally certified karting circuit, plans for additional circuits across the country to support grassroots motorsport development → Aramco-sponsored F1 in Schools program, integrating STEM education with motorsport → Launch of the F1 Academy all-women’s race series, season opener hosted in Jeddah → Dorna Sports and Saudi Motorsport Company signed MOU to host MotoGP in KSA → FIA World Rally Championship to be hosted in Saudi Arabia from 2025 → stc Grand Prix Saudi Arabia won the best F1 event in the region —- ⏹️ EY and FIA – Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile produced an interesting study about the segment. The motorsport industry produced 59.8B EUR in gross output - the market value of goods and services And 25.08B EUR in value add - the additional value the sector generates 36% of all this goes to advance manufacturing and engineering ⏺️ In some part we think of the F1 and other motorsports as a playground for the elite, high fashion and luxury Drive to Survive bumped the audience number by bringing this to the massive ✳️ But underneath all of this, motorsports generates incredible force across industry and economy Now two questions.
