Throughout my career, I have had the humble opportunity to work with people of all ages, diverse backgrounds, various career and industry experiences. Two things transcend those differences--our humanity and our mental health. Everyone is dealing with something for one reason or another. When we bring those struggles to work, we further impact ourselves as well as our teams and our customers. Getting help when we don't know how or what to ask for is challenging. Today is national R U OK? day and it’s a timely reminder for us to check in on our friends, family and colleagues. Often, we struggle to find the words to talk about mental health, but it’s a critical conversation. Sometimes, just providing the space for people to open up about how they’re feeling, and a willing ear to listen is enough to start an important dialogue. The Networkoutz initiative, launched earlier this year in partnership with Creative Spring Community, is helping provide a safe space for business people and entrepreneurs to listen, learn and grow, while also boosting their physical health.
