Today we're excited to announce that we've officially acquired Lyra, the leading provider of instant plan set packages. 🎉 Lyra’s permit packaging software helps solar professionals automate, create, and export permit-ready design plans, and as the U.S. #solar industry faces significant challenges, solar installers will benefit from shortened turnaround times, reduced costs, and installations that stay on track, thanks to the integration of Lyra into Aurora Solar’s platform. "Lyra’s advanced automation software for plan sets is the solution the solar industry needs to alleviate a key homeowner pain point—the often agonizing permitting process—and help solar professionals build trust," said Chris Hopper, CEO at Aurora Solar. "We’re proud to be the most trusted and accurate solar #sales and design tool, with 80% of the top US #installers relying on our platform. Our intention is to be the market leader in U.S. residential plan set service and automation; the acquisition of Lyra significantly accelerates our ability to achieve this goal." #AuroraSolar https://bit.ly/3WnuWO8

Exciting times !

SolarDesignTool has had a tremendous unspoken impact on the industry, providing a path for all other planset generation services and frankly, doing it better for small residential than anyone. It may have never achieved the scale as Helioscope and Aurora, but back when it was only mom and pop solar companies, design experts considered SolarDesignTool to be essential. It was super exciting to see the brand relaunch as Lyra a couple years ago, and even more rewarding to see it find a home with Aurora.

Congratulations to Aurora Solar on the acquisition of Lyra! This strategic move is a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency of the solar industry. Lyra's permit packaging software will greatly benefit solar professionals by automating and streamlining the creation of permit-ready design plans, which is crucial in reducing turnaround times and costs. Chris Hopper's emphasis on addressing the permitting process pain point is spot on. This integration will undoubtedly build greater trust with homeowners and help maintain project timelines. With 80% of top US installers already relying on Aurora Solar’s platform, the addition of Lyra’s capabilities positions Aurora Solar as a market leader in residential plan set service and automation. How do you envision this acquisition transforming the solar installation process in the coming years? What additional innovations can we expect from Aurora Solar to further support solar professionals and homeowners?
