Millions of people across the sprawling #Houston metropolitan area remained without power—with no reprieve in sight—after #HurricaneBeryl walloped Southeast #Texas with flooding rain, punishing winds, and climbing temperatures. The elderly and the sick were especially vulnerable in the sweltering summer heat, and without access to off-grid #electricity options, were left to their own devices. As storms like this intensify in scale and frequency, we must be equipping everyday Americans with independent #energy options. #AuroraSolar https://wapo.st/4bHjEsl

Stay prepared for any storm with a reliable emergency backup generator. Which option is best: solar-powered or battery-operated? ⚡️ While both types have their own advantages, let's take a closer look at which one may be more suitable for your needs. 🏠 🌞 Solar-powered generators use the sun's energy to generate power, making them a great choice for long-term power outages. They are also eco-friendly and don't require any fuel, making them a sustainable option. However, they may not be as reliable during cloudy or stormy weather. 💡 On the other hand, battery-operated generators rely on stored energy and can be used even when there is no sunlight. They are also more portable and can be used indoors, making them a versatile choice. However, they may need to be recharged or have their batteries replaced periodically. ⚠️ Ultimately, the best option for you will depend on your location, budget, and specific needs. Regardless of which type you choose, having an emergency backup generator can provide peace of mind during a storm. 🌪️ . . . . #PriddyRoofingExteriors #PriddyProtection #backupgenerator #hurricaneseason #EmergencyBackup #SolarPower #BatteryOperated #StormPrep #StayPrepared #EcoFriendly #PowerOutage #RoofPower #SafetyFirst #Generator #StormSeason #EmergencyGenerator #StormPreparedness #solarvsbattery #EmergencyBackup #GoGreen #StayPoweredUp #BatteryBackup #SolarPowerVsBattery #SolarPowerOrBattery #EmergencyBackupGenerator #SolarPowered #BatteryOperated

Great article from Lisa Cohn on how microgrids can help resilience in remote and rural communities in Australia where bushfires, floods and unreliable electricity are common place. “The main drivers for that particular microgrid were the bushfires at the end of 2019 and early 2020, where half of the community was basically burnt down. And a lot of the properties around the surrounding area were destroyed. Another interviewee from a rural community in Victoria affected by heavy storms in June 2020 said that the resulting power, internet and communication outages prompted a need to find solutions. We’re saying we need something that is more holistic, whether for a microgrid or a neighborhood battery, something needs to tie all this together to help communities be more resilient and have reliable energy." cendorindustry What happen to solar panel in storm In a storm, solar panels can face several potential issues. Strong winds may damage or displace panels, and hail can cause physical harm to their surfaces. Debris carried by the storm can also pose a threat. Proper installation and design are crucial to enhance their resilience, but extreme weather events can still pose risks. Regular maintenance and inspections help identify and address any damage promptly, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of the solar panel system During a storm, solar panels can be damaged by strong winds, hail, or flying debris. The impact depends on the severity of the storm. High winds can potentially dislodge or break solar panels, and hail can cause physical damage to the panels' surfaces. It's essential for solar installations to be properly designed and installed to withstand these conditions, but extreme weather events can still pose a risk to their integrity. Regular maintenance and inspections can help identify and address any issues promptly. #cendorindustry #solarplant #solarnews24 #@magicofbrands #ceNdorteam #solarinstallation #storm #solarprojects #solarenegy CONTACT US FOR SOLAR PLANT INSTALLATION
