Today is #Juneteenth, a celebration and reminder of the official end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth was declared a federal holiday in 2021 to reflect on the history of slavery in the U.S., rejoice in the progress our country has made and to advocate for continued meaningful change. As part of HCA Healthcare, HealthONE remains committed to creating healthier, more equitable tomorrows for our patients, colleagues and communities.

St. David’s Foundation conducted a statewide survey to better understand experiences around end-of-life care. From the survey, two things became clear: 1. Texans are not dying at home as they wish, and hospice care is making a clear, significant positive impact on end-of-life experiences. 2. While a challenging and uncomfortable topic, early conversations and planning around end-of-life wishes improve quality of care. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/gnjE2vdb

Healthcare for All Juneteenth | 19th June 2024 SACRAMENTO, CA This is a special day in America, when we remember and celebrate the Emancipation Proclamation signed by President Abraham Lincoln on September 22nd, 1862. And yet, the fifth richest state in the land, California, has thousands of residents living in rural communities, that have no access to healthcare. Although slavery has long been abolished, many families, including veterans in these rural communities, are suffering. When they need primary or emergency care, there is little choice but to drive sometimes more than three hours to get to a clinic. In 21st century America, this is simply not acceptable. CompassPoint Health, as a Micro Hospital developer, has a commitment to innovation, and bringing affordable healthcare to rural and underserved counties throughout the State of California. If your community is in need of a Primary Care Clinic, reach out to us at: (310) 810-3077 by voice or text.
