I am pleased to participate today in an event organized by the GICAN to raise awareness among its members about European projects supporting the maritime industry. 🚢 In my presentation, I highlighted the potential of EU structural funds, particularly the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund+ (ESF+). 🇪🇺 These funds can support targeted investments in shipbuilding and maritime manufacturing, including: ✅ Enhancing research and innovation capacities, as well as the uptake of advanced technologies; ✅ Upgrading production processes to improve efficiency, sustainability, circularity, and digitalization; ✅ Upskilling and reskilling industry workers. Structural funds are managed in a decentralized manner, often at the regional level by regional authorities. They are co-financed by the EU and other public contributors, including national and regional budgets. This decentralized approach ensures that investment priorities are tailored to the specific needs and industrial specializations of each region. 💡 These funds complement better-known programmes such as Horizon Europe and the Innovation Fund, which are managed centrally at the EU level and promote collaborative research and innovation through large consortia. 💶 I was honored to deliver this presentation on behalf of SEA Europe (Shipyards' & Maritime Equipment Association of Europe) to our French member, the GICAN, and I would be delighted to offer the same to any other SEA Europe member. 🤝 #EuropeanUnion #MaritimeIndustry #Investment #Funding

📢 Exciting developments are happening at KPMC Ltd., a joint venture between PSA International and Kazakhstan Railways National Company (KTZ), which manages Kazakhstan’s main railway network. 🚉 Established last year, #KPMC focuses on promoting the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (#TITR), a key trade link connecting Southeast Asia and China to Europe through Kazakhstan.  We’re proud to explore new opportunities along this corridor, such as transporting hazardous goods ⚠️ and enhancing global trade flows, both westbound (from Asia to Europe) and eastbound (from Europe to China and Central Asia).  #PSA is also looking at the growing importance of the Middle Corridor, as an alternative and faster trade route between China and Europe.
