The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) presented it’s Interoperability Initiative at the Canadian Public Health Association’s Public Health 2024 conference. #PHSP24 Interoperability is the capacity for seamless sharing of health data and information between health sector stakeholders by means of policy, governance, workflow and technical alignment. This specific initiative looks at advancing the interoperability of surveillance systems at PHAC. With increased interoperability, systems will become more resilient during public health responses and be able to better withstand evolving public health needs, staff turnover and operational changes.
