Of all the places to begin reimagining medicine, government regulation, and social acceptance - CAN WE LEAD THE WORK IN THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY? #cannabismarketing #cannabisindustry #women #nativeamericans #legacycannabis #cannabisbusiness #womenentrepreneurs #mjbiz #marijuanabusiness
“We need to do this in a way that does not create a capitalistic commodity on the backs of Mother Earth,” says Mary Jane Oatman, Executive Director of the #Indigenous #Cannabis Industry Association. “Embrace the reality that we have such a very short life on this earth and we should not live it within the confines of waiting for government permission to heal ourselves.” Craft grower Lindsey Renner, founder of Native Humboldt Farms, reclaims her heritage by growing cannabis on land that once belonged her tribe, the Wailaki Tribe, in Northern California. “What we need consumers to understand is that the market is inundated with mids,” says Renner. “As craft farmers, we feel that consumers deserve the very best quality, the very best high. We want them to understand that craft is quality." I’ve seen a lot of posts and articles lately of women in cannabis supporting one another, highlighting their accomplishments and the impact they are making in the industry. Nothing gets me through a hard day more than seeing us lift each other up! This is a tough space. We all face challenges from extreme regulatory burdens, businesses being crippled by tax implications, the SAFE banking saga, rescheduling vs de-scheduling, a struggling economy, people, processes and technologies that are still evolving in what is very much so a young, maturing industry. It’s long hours, it’s dedication, it’s grinding, and it’s also having the passion to be a part of something bigger. But for women in cannabis, we are not just fighting for our seat at the table, it’s an ongoing battle once we’re there to have our voices heard and respected. Women accounted for almost 48% of new customers over the last few years in the industry, yet women are grossly underrepresented in leadership positions at the companies that power and participate in this space. We are operating in a male dominated world where women are constantly having to reprove our worth just to be a part of the “Boys Club”. I have said this before and will say it again, we have just one opportunity to shape this industry, and with that comes the tremendous responsibility of building it the right way. So I ask, both women and men in cannabis- continue to encourage companies to place women in influential and leadership roles. Support women owned and operated businesses. Listen to the the ideas and feedback women provide. But most importantly (for the men), acknowledge that we are up against something you may not understand. Be kind, be aware, and let’s work together to make things better. May I remind you, while the male plant has its place, it is the female plant that pads your pockets! 😉 #womenincannabis #buyweedfromwomen #cannabis #womeninweed https://lnkd.in/gqQxEvnZ

The feminine point of view has commanded 2023. It won’t change in 2024. And I don’t know who needs to hear this, but scantily clad “booth babes” aren’t hitting with your target demographic. Ask me how I know. 👀 Women continue to drive the conversation forward despite the obstacles of the cannabis industry. A proliferation of women-oriented products as well as events offer a glimpse into a new world, and a different vibe than has historically driven the predominantly male-centered weed industry. Modern consumers are hungry for more representation. Patriarchy hurts both men and women. There’s been a decline in diverse owners in cannabis recently, so it seems like we’re missing the mark.

The text "It’s Time To Take Women’s Buying Power Seriously In Cannabis" is an important reminder of the growing role of women in the industry. Women are increasingly consuming cannabis and looking for products and services that meet their specific needs. The industry needs to take women's purchasing power seriously and invest in initiatives that promote women's representation and access to capital. Women are an important and growing consumer market, and the industry needs to meet their needs. I believe that representativeness is fundamental to the growth of the cannabis industry, and that women should have more opportunities for leadership and business ownership. Actions that can be taken: ➡ Cannabis companies can invest in marketing, branding and products aimed at women consumers. ➡ Women can become more involved in the cannabis industry, whether as consumers, entrepreneurs or professionals. ➡ Investors can invest in cannabis companies founded by women. ➡ Cannabis industry organizations can promote initiatives that promote women's representation and access to capital. #WomenInCannabis #CBD #THC #FemaleConsumers #RepresentationMatters #InvestInWomen #HerGreenPower #GrowingTheFuture #EmpowerHer #BreakTheStigma

In the heart of every hive and at the core of cannabis cultivation, women are pioneering a future where sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity flourish. The significance of their contributions in beekeeping and the cannabis industry is not just a narrative of overcoming challenges but a testament to the transformative power of diversity and inclusion in shaping our world. In beekeeping, women have long been the unsung heroes, quietly ensuring the health of our planet's most vital pollinators. Their approach goes beyond traditional methods, weaving sustainability and ecological awareness into the fabric of their work. They advocate for practices that protect bee populations, understanding deeply how these small creatures have a monumental impact on our ecosystem. Transitioning to the realm of cannabis, women's influence is equally profound. They are breaking ground in an industry that is at once ancient and nascent, championing a shift towards holistic and medicinal perspectives on cannabis use. Their work in research, cultivation, and product development is dismantling stereotypes and paving the way for a future where cannabis is recognized for its therapeutic benefits. At Katie’s BaeBees, we recognize the unique challenges and triumphs women face in these fields, we commit ourselves to support and celebrate their achievements. Our efforts extend beyond our products and services, fostering a culture of mentorship and collaboration that empowers women to thrive. The narrative of women in beekeeping and cannabis is a compelling reminder of the strength found in diversity. Their contributions are not just enhancing these industries but are also instrumental in driving forward a more sustainable and inclusive future. It's a collective journey that benefits from the support, recognition, and celebration of every achievement, big or small. As we continue to navigate these evolving landscapes, let's honor the women leading the charge. Their resilience, innovation, and leadership inspire a brighter, more inclusive future for all of us. Together, we can build a legacy of empowerment, ensuring that the fields of beekeeping and cannabis remain vibrant and diverse for generations to come. #internationalwomensday #beekeeping #beekeeper #entrepreneur
