This. The terms 'slow quitting', and 'wage theft' are dumb, inaccurate, and problematic because it implies the issue is with the workers instead of the system that is trying to exploit the workers. Let me be clear: there is nothing wrong with doing your job and no more if you're not being paid extra or will not lead to better opportunities. Before you accept additional work talk with your manager and be clear about your needs and expectations as well as theirs. If they are not able or willing to meet your expectations then be honest that you can't take on more work if it's not reflected in the pay.
