250W. That’s what we had to carry 2 persons+booth. It was the EU requirement to have our trikes under the pedelec category. (i.e. normal E-Bike with no assurance, no helmet etc.) Lightweight design was the key: "Add lightness!” as per Colin Chapman motto (apocryphal). Aluminum for the chassis, Carbon fiber monocoque for the bodywork: not the easiest way but the most promising...and the promise was kept making us the lightest two seater fully bodied Ebike on the market. Only 85kg! Our competitors started from 120kg...carrying only one rider. This lightweight means less battery consumption, more autonomy and making the riding possible even in case of low battery. The 3d model on my screen turned into a real vehicle running on the road: nothing was sure but we toke the risk. In this challenging time for the mobility industry it was important to give people a real alternative for the ≤15km Urban-Suburban range. We think we did it.
