My reflection from #mwc2024 is exactly like the video I made on the first day: you think you know what you will get, but then you are bumped by something completely unexpected, fancy (like a cute beast on the video) and it changes your perception of the future. So a couple of takeaways from #mwc2024: - AI dominates in all topics, but it doesn’t seem to be that scary any longer or replacing humanity - Humanity moves towards a total waste-free-cycle, ideally coming to the point the waste will not exist at all, technologies help in that process - Ideas generated by tech start-up become even more amazing (like various battery saving technologies giving the batteries almost never-ending-power, or injectable micro tech devices helping doctors in the hospitals to monitor the health condition of the patient) - Not surprisingly – tech continue penetrating many more industries (like beauty, defence, agri and many others) Many thanks to #mwc2024 and my colleagues for unforgettable experience and deep-dive into the future of technologies. #trust was a major theme to kick off day 3 at #AHIP2024. Or, rather the acknowledgment of insufficient trust. Trust in science. Trust in AI. Trust between patients and physicians. Trust between healthcare organizations and underserved communities. We still have a long way to go across the board. When there are gaps in trust, local community based organizations #CBOs - organizations that represent the diversity of the people they serve and provide #SDOH services to address food insecurity, transportation, housing, and other supports that address health related social needs - often have the highest trust with vulnerable and underserved communities. These organizations can be a key partner to help bridge the trust gap. Healthcare organizations need to improve coordination and partnership with CBOs as an aligned extension of the care team. This is why we built Town Square to make it easy for health plans and providers to contract directly with CBOs as aligned partners. With centralized technology, administrative services and member engagement programs we are helping to activate social care networks to improve whole person health in every community. Ensure teams are aligned, well-informed, and trained for success. Link the change to business goals and be honest with the capabilities of technology.
