Solving the problem of underrepresentation in tech means creating opportunities for communities who haven’t historically had them. This week, The Hidden Genius Project's Tech Slam returned to the UK, inviting students from the Aston University Engineering Academy and Ashby School, alongside Leicester City Football Club and BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd) to experience how sports, design and technology come together. Autodesk joined 114 companies as the first signatories of the European Union's AI Pact, a pledge to drive trustworthy and safe AI development. At the signing ceremony in Brussels, Clémence Arto, director of Government Affairs and Public Policy, EMEA, and Anthony Ruto, senior director of Research Engineering, had the opportunity to engage with other signatories and EU officials. The signing of the EU AI pact is part of Autodesk’s endeavor to foster the ethical and responsible use of AI, in line with its Trusted AI initiative. Autodesk is committed to continue building and refining the security, privacy, and governance processes through which trustworthy AI emerges.
