NVIDIA job openings are up 35% as the world prepares for the King of Chips to show its Q3 hand tonight. Job Openings are up 35% since July's hiring slump, with growing demand for software developers and sales reps. In fact, postings for sales jobs have tripled over the period, supporting Huang's claim of "insane" demand for his new "Blackwell" chips. Skills in Computer Vision and Parallel Computing are high on the recruitment wishlist, with openings for both up over 200% YoY. Meanwhile, our partners at Live Data Technologies report major talent arrivals in the Autonomous Vehicles and Automotive AI divisions. Together, these data points suggest a bullish approach to AI application from the chipmaker, well beyond its early wins in large language modeling. Companies like Cadence, Yahoo, LinkedIn, and @Siemens EDA (formerly Mentor Graphics) understand something crucial: technical excellence deserves its own growth path. They've built robust technical ladders parallel to management tracks, recognizing that leadership isn't just about managing people. In India, we often equate success with titles like "Manager" or "Director" - it's deeply ingrained in our middle-class narrative. But here's the truth: while people management becomes crucial at senior levels (whether you're a CTO or Principal Architect), it's not the only path to impact. Look West, and you'll find respected engineers retiring as... engineers. No stigma, just pride in their craft. So here's to celebrating technical depth. The first company is building a brand new interconnect architecture to reduce bottlenecks in next gen computing workloads at any scale. They have just closed their series B this year for $125 million. The second company is a series A start-up that is the leading provider of PCIe and CXL switches. They have created the worlds first and only hybrid switch. They also have closed a strategic partnership with a global leading company. The last company was founded by the previous leader of Googles fastest inference SW. They are creating processors specifically for LLMs working for the most TOPS/$.
