American Honda Motor Company, Inc. provided an outlook on its U.S. automobile business for 2025 during a media briefing with Vice President of Sales, Lance Woelfer. "In 2024, the #Honda brand gained market share across the board, and Acura gained 7% in the second half of the year, which speaks to the fact that we have one of the strongest lineups in the industry," said Woelfer. "For American Honda, we will continue to capitalize on our flexible strategy of growing hybrid and light trucks sales while building toward the production start of the #Acura RSX all-electric SUV, our first original EV that will be made in our Honda EV Hub in Ohio later this year."

DesRosiers #Automotive Consultants: TOP SELLING MODELS IN CANADA IN 2024 Overall, new light #vehicle sales performance in 2024 was remarkably positive with the market up 8.2%. At the model level, however, the market saw significant shifts. Among passenger cars, the Honda Civic reclaimed the top spot thanks to a 14.3% sales increase to 31,774 units. The Toyota North America Corolla, another #Canadian favourite, claimed second place. The Volkswagen Jetta saw a significant increase of 44.4% propel it into fifth position with the Nissan Motor Corporation Sentra close behind in sixth. For the light truck side of the market, the Ford Motor Company F-Series continued to be far and away the top contender, seeing an 8.6% sales increase to 133,857 units—remarkably more than 100 thousand units greater than the Civic. The Toyota RAV4 claimed an impressive second place with a 3.8% increase in sales over the previous year, sitting above both the GMC Sierra and RAM Pickup. Significant double-digit sales increases propelled the Nissan Rogue into eighth place, the Ford Escape into ninth, and the Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차) Kona into tenth with their sales rising 22.8%, 58.8%, and 33.8% respectively. “The market in recent years was skewed by a combination of unprecedented forces, including severe availability issues” commented Andrew King, Managing Partner at DAC. “Now that a degree of equilibrium has returned, consumer preferences can once more lead the market.”
