I'm surprised VC firms don't hire a Platform Growth role. Someone who has experience building and scaling initial traction channels for early startups. Most early growth efforts should be done by the founders themselves, but growth, especially from zero, can be rough. They help founders with things like: ➡️ Advice on what traction channels to focus on ➡️ How to quickly build and test traction channels ➡️ Strategy feedback and affirmation ➡️ Hiring help ➡️ Product marketing (positioning, GTM, etc.) ➡️ Identifying and fixing funnel holes, etc. Someone like this could genuinely change the trajectory of portfolio companies.

How should seed stage companies approach hiring SDRs if the top 1% typically advance to closing roles within ~18 months? (Or maybe my thinking is wrong here and the tenure is closer to 24 months?) ❇ The Language of Flexible Employment - Part 1 📍 Fractional (Noun, Adjective): Definition: A fractional is a part-time, fully embedded leader Possible Use Cases: A fractional leader is best suited when an organization needs high-level experience but not the full-time commitment and costs. This is especially useful for startups, growth-stage companies or ventures where speed, flexibility, cost-efficiency, risk reduction and specialized leadership are necessary. Hiring a fractional CFO for a series A or B-stage startup, for example, provides the startup with the operational expertise of a strategic CFO without the full-time costs and commitment. 📍 Interim (Noun, Adjective): Definition: An interim is a full-time, temporary leader Possible Use Cases: An interim leader is best suited for venture builds, leadership transitions, temporary gaps, crisis management and overseeing critical projects including ‘special’ projects that are exploratory or experimental in nature. Examples include maternity, paternity or long-term health-related leaves, turn-around situations or venture incubation.
