Pirelli counters Hamilton 'peaky F1 tyres' frustration: Hamilton suggested after the Miami Grand Prix last month that he had never known F1 tyres to have as "minuscule" an operating window as they do right now."Honestly, it's probably the most frustrating thing," said the seven-time world champion. "You look back in the day when you had a much bigger working window to work with."Then you can just optimise the balance and then just have good grip ...Keep reading #motorsports #racing #cars

What a Season for Formula 1! 🚀 The 2024 Formula 1 season will go down in history as a year of transformation, triumph, and farewells. Here’s what made it unforgettable: 🏆 McLaren's Resurgence Against all odds, McLaren clinched the Constructors’ Championship for the first time since 1998. The team’s exceptional development, strategic brilliance, and remarkable driver synergy made it a season to remember. A shining example of what relentless innovation and teamwork can achieve! 🏁 Hamilton’s Farewell to Mercedes After over a decade of dominance and redefining excellence, Sir Lewis Hamilton closed his chapter at Mercedes. His partnership with Toto Wolff, which brought an unprecedented era of success, came to an emotional end. A legendary duo bows out, leaving a legacy that will inspire generations. 🏎️ Leclerc’s Redemption in Monaco And finally, the moment we all cheered for—Charles Leclerc winning his home Grand Prix in Monaco! After years of heartbreak on the streets of Monte Carlo, his triumph was a story of persistence and belief. A long-awaited dream, turned reality. Why Audi and Verstappen have complicated Formula 1’s driver market decisions: But while we have had some important decisions made already – like Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari and Fernando Alonso re-committing to Aston Martin – there remains a great deal still to be sorted. What is perhaps most fascinating though is that not everyone is running to the same timing agenda, and that has left things hugely complicated for both drivers and teams as they try to plot their best path ...Keep reading #motorsports #racing #cars

I watched the Singapore FI race last night where Lando Norris secured victory at the 2024 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix! Starting from pole position, the 24-year-old driver dominated the race, outpacing Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. McLaren made 2 podium finishes with Oscar Piastri coming in 3rd. This marks a remarkable turnaround for one of the most successful F1 racing teams. I recall the struggles McLaren faced in the 2015 F1 season, where they were barely scoring points. F1 Racing teams, like any other company, operate with specific KPI's focused on one goal: TO WIN. These KPI's are intricately structured to ensure success, enabling the team to thrive. The execution involves a meticulous review of data through the PDCA process, swiftly identifying and resolving issues before the next race. 🏁🥇🏎️

Monaco Well I’m sure even the most die hard F1 fans , share the thought : the Ferrari win at the weekend and for Charles was well deserved and hugely popular . His Pole quite outstanding & given the levels at which multiple Giant talents are now Pedaling ~a serious statement of things to come ! This begs the question , what did Lewis see ,as he prepared to put pen to paper ! However having been in Monaco for F1 on more than 20 occasions including ,during the Senna era : the overtaking or “ serious lack of it “ is for me the stand out feature in Monaco of this year & not a welcome one . If ever there was a doubt that todays Aero with dimensions of cars that come with it ,is to the detriment of spectators - Sunday was that visual confirmation . Monaco is of course narrow & arguably the greatest Street Circuit of them all : but with multiple braking Zones , slow speed corners and undulations ,it’s a track Drivers of years gone by loved . It’s a limited number of informed persons ,that know what the Rule changes for 2026 bring : but I for one ,so much hope the cars can follow 0n track & importantly are of dimensions that afford the Space to pass . F1 is of course intended to show case and encourage cutting edge Technology of tomorow it is of course a laboratory for features on road cars to come : let’s not forget a modern F1 car requires the best Athletes in the World to extract performance ~ there is a danger the FIA will curb this to the point a willing Audience can evaporate & all this as F1 conquers new levels of following and arguably has a trajectory of Growth not seen before . Here is hoping 2026 and beyond provides a Catalyst for increased popularity 👍 The Win this recent Weekend delivered emotions and confidence in Spades : let the Ferrari / Mclaren era resume !

What a weekend for Formula 1 in Las Vegas! The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix delivered an electrifying race under the iconic neon lights of the Strip. Mercedes had a standout performance with George Russell claiming the win and Lewis Hamilton securing a strong second place. Hamilton showcased his incredible form throughout the weekend, topping practice sessions and fighting hard during the race to finish just 7 seconds behind his teammate. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz completed the podium, followed closely by Charles Leclerc in fourth—another great display of resilience from my favorite driver! Max Verstappen, already crowned the 2024 World Champion earlier in the season, rounded out the top five, while Lando Norris put in a stellar effort, earning the fastest lap bonus point for McLaren. The unpredictable Las Vegas circuit provided plenty of drama and excitement, from strategic pit stops to overtakes in high-pressure moments. This race not only underscored Hamilton’s enduring talent but also the strong resurgence of Mercedes in the latter half of the season. It’s great to see Leclerc delivering consistently strong results as well, despite Ferrari’s challenging year. Looking ahead, it’s thrilling to think how this momentum might carry into 2025. What are your thoughts on the Las Vegas GP and the 2024 season finale in Abu Dhabi next week ? 🔴 NEWS: Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says that the team is open to supply power units to Alpine from 2026. There are rumours that Renault is considering whether to cease its F1 power unit production in 2026. That would leave its Alpine team without a PU supplier. Mercedes who lose Aston Martin to Honda that year could now become a contender to supply PU‘s to Alpine. Wolff says that they like the thought of replacing Aston with another team. 🗣️ He says that talks are still at an early stage: “I think Alpine would take a decision, do they want to continue with their Formula 1 engine programme or not? And only when they have taken that strategic decision, we would dive into our agreements. But we’re open-minded, and that’s what we have told them.” Any decision won’t come before the summer break. ⬇️ What do you think? #F1 #Formula1 #Mercedes #MercedesAMGF1 #AlpineF1 #Alpine #RenaultF1 #Renault #MercedesF1 #HungarianGP #F1Race #FIA #F12024 #Race #Racing #Racer #GrandPrix #GP #F1Tech #Official #Car #RaceCar #News #Update #F1Racing #Motorsport #RacingUpdate

The curtain has closed on the amazing 2024 Formula 1 season, but not only that, as it also marked the end of an iconic partnership.🏁 For the 246th time, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes enjoyed one last hurrah.🩶🖤 That P16 to P4 drive, that was the drive of a 7-time champion.🐐 Not to mention, his 2025 teammate, Charles Leclerc, went from P19 to P3.🏎️ What a duo those two will be! If the engineers and everyone in the background do their part well, there is no doubt that Hamilton and Leclerc will rewrite history.🤩 Enough talk about 2025 though… 2024 was a beautiful season, and Mercedes were part of some beautiful moments too. BUT… Mercedes have had YET another tough year under the regulations introduced in 2022.😬 George Russell and Lewis Hamilton might have earned two wins each, but Mercedes have proven that they still have so much to learn about these regs.📉 In my latest article, I review Mercedes’ confusing season.✍🏽 And I say confusing because there were days where I had so much hope as a Lewis fan and then were days I wanted to pull my hair out - Abu Dhabi gave me both of these emotions.🫠 I’ve written a lot about Mercedes these past few years, but now with my favourite driver moving to the first (and tbh only) F1 team I supported - Scuderia Ferrari - I’m going back to my roots and my writing will too most likely.😅 Just how many of you will be switching to red for 2025?😂Let me know in the comments and read through my article if you’d like👇🏽 #F1 #Formula1 #Mercedes #MercedesAMG #Motorsports #Sports #AbuDhabiGP #Journalism #Sportswriting #Ferrari #ScuderiaFerrari https://lnkd.in/dYpcJfbU

Formula 1 heads back to China for the first time since 2019! These new iteration of F1 cars have never raced at this circuit (the new regs being newer than the last time the race was held in China) That'll make for some added uncertainty - which as you know, is not usually a bad thing as far as race enjoyment goes. Additionally, the track has been 'resurfaced or repainted' so the teams can't even use previous knowledge of grip levels. It 'should' be a good one. Slight change to the format to incorporate as well. Previously - on sprint weekends like this one - cars were set up for the sprint, and then that was the set up for the whole race weekend. Now, there are two parc ferme blocks. Teams can now set up for Sprint Qualifying. Then set up again for the Race Qualifying on Saturday. Fingers crossed for a cracker 🤞 #FormulaOne #ChineseGrandPrix https://lnkd.in/ezT-xbue
