The third best thing about an old Land Cruiser is stogies on the drive. What’re the first two? First thing is it’s a Toyota so its dependable. That means it can beat up your Jeep or Land Rover. It is what it is. Second thing is kick vents. IYKYK Toyota makes quality vehicles and that’s proven with data. When vehicles are crazy expensive like they are today you buy a Toyota and pay it off. Then drive it until it can’t go anymore. That’s how you beat the game. Quality is king in manufacturing. I’ll add a link to the importance of quality in the comments below. #toyota #quality #manufacturing #lean #leansixsigma

2024 Ford F-150 Tremor First Test: If you’re looking for an off-road-capable truck but don’t need the Raptor or its compromises, the 2024 Ford F-150 Tremor could be your go-to pickup. The 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor remains one of the top factory off-road trucks you can buy today. You can even go extreme and get the Raptor R with its 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 chucking out 720 hp and flying over whoops like it’s no big deal. But either version of the Raptor is a lot of truck that some buyers just don’t want or simply can’t afford. What’s the next best (and more affordable) thing if you’re looking for something with a V-8 under the hood? It’s the 2024 Ford F-150 Tremor. While it won’t take on the desert at high speeds, the 2024 F-150 Tremor is still an impressive off-road truck. It conquers small to medium bumps like they aren’t there, and it can clamber off all but the burliest terrain. That said, although its softer suspension is great for off-roading, it does lead to some extra movement; under hard braking, for example, there’s occasional side-to-side motion and a lot more dive than in more road-oriented F-150s. And the off-road tires contribute to a long 60–0-mph stopping distance of 149 feet. MotorTrend achieved their best acceleration runs with the Tremor in 2WD and “Sport” mode with all the electronic safety nets turned off. The sound of the V-8 and the squat will make you think you’re in a rocket ship, but the time slip isn’t quite as impressive as hammering the go pedal sounds and feels. From a dead stop, the Tremor’s 5.0-liter V-8 put its 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque toward a best 0–60-mph run of 6.4 seconds. It was able to cover the quarter mile in 14.8 seconds at 96 mph … https://lnkd.in/eGftAMcM (photo credit: MotorTrend)

Toyota Corolla: The Best-Selling Car Ever 🚗 The Toyota Corolla, a name synonymous with reliability and efficiency, has been a global favorite since its introduction in 1966. By 1974, it was the best-selling car worldwide, and in 1997, it claimed the title of the best-selling nameplate, surpassing the Volkswagen Beetle. By 2021, Toyota had sold an incredible 50 million Corollas across twelve generations. For many, including me, the Corolla has been more than just a car—it’s a symbol of an era. Growing up in Pakistan in the 90s, this was the car to own. As a teenager, I had the pleasure of driving it, and over the last two decades, I’ve experienced at least five different models. It’s amazing how this car has adapted and stayed relevant through the years. As the Japanese automotive sector consolidates through strategic mergers, it’s clear they are gearing up to take on the rapid rise of the Chinese auto industry. The global auto landscape is shifting, and it will be exciting to see how these giants innovate and compete. What are your thoughts on this transformation in the automotive sector? #ToyotaCorolla #BestSellingCar #AutomotiveIndustry #JapaneseCars #ChineseAutomotive #Innovation #GlobalAutoMarket

Toyota has been honoured as 'Best Manufacturer' in the 2024 Autocar Awards. The title recognises how the brand competes strongly across a wide range of market segments and the well-proven reliability and durability of its products. The magazine also highlights that the company is led by people who love cars and driving, a quality that’s reflected in the vehicles it makes. Toyota is the first car maker to receive the award twice, having previously won in 2020. Announcing the award at a ceremony in London yesterday evening, Autocar Editor Mark Tisshaw said: “At virtually all points in the car market, from the most affordable supermini to the most rugged 4×4, Toyota competes. And that’s what makes Toyota our best manufacturer for 2024.” In its assessment of the qualities that earned Toyota the accolade, Autocar highlights the brand’s reputation for “exceptional durability and reliability, hard-earned over decades of making cars that people simply expect to last and last well”. It also references Toyota hybrids and their proven “great efficiency in everyday driving”. It’s inspirational management, however, that in Autocar’s opinion sets Toyota apart from the competition, crediting the fact the company “is run from the top down by people who understand and love cars and driving.” Stuart Sanders, Toyota (GB) Director of Communications and Product, said: “Autocar is one of the world’s best-respected automotive media businesses so to win its best manufacturer title is a significant honour. We are grateful for the award and the recognition it gives to our continued efforts to deliver quality, durability, reliability and genuine driver appeal in every car we make. We are holding fast to that principle as we accelerate progress towards a carbon-neutral mobility future, pursuing our multi-path technology strategy to deliver the right solutions for the right people, in the right place and at the right time.” #Toyota #Hybrid #BEV #Automotive #Award
