As I bid farewell to CARS24 after 8 incredible years, I'm filled with a mix of emotions. This journey wasn't just a job, but a purpose. From building a team from scratch to scaling a 0-to-100 organization, it's been an exhilarating ride! I'm grateful for the amazing team, innovative experiences, and unforgettable memories. Cars24 will always be a part of me, and it's hard to let go of the memories because they remind me of a great story that I never expected to end. My time at Cars24 taught me a valuable lesson: Life is like a "Radio", not an "MP3 player". You must be willing to "Adjust and move" out of your comfort zone to enjoy new things. I'm excited for my new adventure and will share updates soon! As I move to a new city with new aspirations, I want to thank my colleagues and leaders who have impacted my life. You know who you are. Remember, when transitioning, it's essential to acknowledge the moments and people that helped you grow. Change can be uncomfortable, but take the small moments that created bigger dreams with you. Watch for a few seconds and you'll see vAuto by Cox Automotive founder Dale Pollak sitting on the floor next to my 7 year old daughter. The two were inseparable. 5 years ago, I put on my first event for the auto industry. It was small, but felt huge to me and Congruent. (these were the days before ASOTU | More Than Cars existed...but the spirit was alive) If you look closely you can see West Herr Automotive Group owner Scott Bieler, some of his executive team, and the one and only Matthew Lasher 👋 (This was the first time I met him BTW). Also you'll see Hireology founder Adam Robinson and some others you may recognize. Then, Dale - a massively successful and transformative executive - and my daughter Elyse. She has never had a hard time talking to adults. As soon as they met, Dale (who is blind), got down on one knee and they started chatting it up. Hours later, she was still by his side and they would occasionally say something or laugh, but mostly what you see in this video. This depicts so much of what I love about the retail auto industry and car dealers in general. They are fast family. To this day, every time I talk to Dale, he asks how 'little Elyse' is doing...followed by a comment that she's probably not so little anymore. He's right. I'm so glad I stumbled across this clip today to remind me (and us) that business is more meaningful when we connect on a human level. #automotiveindustry #cardealership #familybusiness #asotu
