It is important for our Summer Interns to get to know each aspect of AutoZone’s business. Last week, we introduced them to our Supply Chain team with a visit to our Lexington, TN Distribution Center. #Internship #SupplyChain #DistributionCenters #AutoZoneCareers
This is a rare opportunity to teach a new generation about good work habits and the importance of a strong work ethic.
That's fantastic! Immersing interns in different facets of the business is such a valuable experience. How did the interns react to the visit? Any standout moments or key takeaways from the Lexington Distribution Center?

3moI have only one problem with AutoZone. They tend to not hire people who are a lil over qualified for the job not knowing what the applicants intentions are. Maybe the applicant is just wanting to be around people who are hands on when it comes to maintaining their own vehicles. AutoZone please think about the point that I’m trying to make. I’m a AutoZone customer because I prefer their parts over the competitors parts not comparing to dealership parts of course I have to say I live in the area of 6 AutoZones that place adds on hiring platforms for seeking help immediately. The only problem is who are they hiring I suppose they aren’t because the adds stay on job boards and stores are constantly shorthanded on staff. My reason for adding this comment is because the 6 stores I’m talking about are all within like 8 square miles of each other. The ones that I have visited are very friendly and eager to help customers get the parts they need. They also seem to be a bit short handed on employees so I have to browse the store for a lil bit to let the counter associate have time to take care of the customer standing in front of them. Good job.
