What should you get paid in Corporate Intelligence/Due Diligence consultancy in the US? Disappointingly for most, the answer is probably not too dissimilar to what you're earning now. The intelligence market has not bounced back in the US yet in the same way it's been somewhat revived in Europe & to some extent in Asia. 2022 saw some of the most intense hiring I've ever seen in the industry and there were significant cash offers made for those willing to move from one firm to a competitor. Those days have passed - at least for now. Graduates: $55,000-65,000 Investigators (1-3 years of experience) $60,000-80,000 Senior Investigators (4-6 years of experience) $80,000-130,000 Managers ($90,000-140,000) Directors ($110,000-160,000) Managing Directors ($150,000-200,000+) Most of the industry still expects you to live and work in DC or NY, with some markets like Boston, Chicago, LA, San Francisco and across Texas having modest numbers of teams. If you want to work remotely, your options will be very limited (and nearly always paid less) - return to office mandates are in full swing.
