Spot on Lauren Egger... NPs often don't get the hype or the attention that fancy/flashy techy firms or "fastest growing!" companies get - especially on LinkedIn. But ALMOST ALWAYS blow those types of companies away with culture, balance, mission... It's often a bit of a tougher story to pitch and that's where we see NPs and Associations struggle. Many have limited recruiting resources and low flow of applicants. That's a perfect situation for an outbound type search and a perfect situation to partner with us. In many situations, we will prove to be much more efficient and affordable than bringing on an internal recruiter, especially if you have sporadic hiring needs. Give Lauren a shout if you want to talk it over Lauren@covertrecruiting.com

As a nonprofit recruiter, I've seen organizations struggle with the challenge of finding candidates who resonate with the unique culture of nonprofits. Let's be honest – nonprofits are a different vibe (in all the best ways in my opinion), but it's not a fit for everyone. When compared to corporate environments, they're a total different pace: things can move a bit slower, growth paths vary, and the mission serves as the heartbeat of the organization, influencing every decision. Here's the silver lining: there are candidates eager to contribute to something meaningful, actively seeking out this kind of culture. However, the downside is that relying solely on job applications makes it a daunting task. Vetting candidates for this specific fit is a time-consuming process and takes a lot of discernment. Given our experience in hiring for nonprofits over the years, we've built a pipeline of dedicated and motivated candidates who are actively searching for the right nonprofit to call home. I'd love to make some intros. Reach out to me here on Linkedin or by e-mail: Lauren@covertrecruiting.con

Did you know that Second Chance Hiring can transform lives? It's all about giving those coming out of prison a job and an opportunity to start rebuilding their lives. But how does it actually work? Let me break it down for you! ⬇️ First things first, as a company interested in Second Chance Hiring, it's crucial to connect with the available resources in your area. And I'm not just talking about one or two resources – we're talking health, food, transportation, and housing resources across the board! So why is this important? Well, when you hire someone who's just left prison and may not have stable housing or access to basic necessities yet, providing these resources through your company can make all the difference. • For example, if you're looking to employ someone without housing options but has great potential as a worker and employee ready to seize opportunities, consider connecting with realtors or even acquiring properties yourself to accommodate them. This way, they have a safe place to live while starting their new journey at your workplace. ⚫ Remember: Second Chance Hiring isn't just about offering employment; it's about creating an environment where individuals can thrive holistically by addressing their immediate needs too. → By actively seeking out partnerships with local organizations that provide support services such as healthcare clinics or food banks (just to name a few), your company becomes a catalyst for positive change within your community! ◆ So let's recap: Second Chance Hiring involves giving individuals leaving prison an opportunity by providing employment AND connecting them with essential resources like health services ⚕️ , food assistance , transportation aid , and secure housing . When businesses embrace this approach together with compassion and determination for social impact... magic happens! Let's continue the conversation! Share your thoughts and experiences with Second Chance Hiring in the comments below. Let's create a more inclusive workforce together! #SecondChanceHiring #TransformingLives #InclusiveWorkforce #OpportunityForAll

Hiring individuals previously involved with the justice system can offer several benefits to employers and society as a whole, including: - Diverse Skill Sets: Many justice-involved individuals have years of past work experience prior to their conviction or have acquired valuable skills that can be applied to various job roles. - Strong Work Ethics: Having faced adversity, many justice-involved individuals are highly motivated to prove themselves, often demonstrating strong work ethics and commitment. - Loyalty and Dedication: National studies show that those given a second chance tend to exhibit higher levels of loyalty and dedication to their employers, appreciating the employment opportunity. - Community Reintegration: Employing justice-involved individuals can support their successful reintegration into society, reducing recidivism rates. - Societal Impact: Fair chance hiring contributes to safer communities by providing opportunities for individuals to lead law-abiding lives.

A question for my recruitment and HR colleagues and connections, in your mind what does it take for a candidate to stand out these days? It used to be that a referral from a current employee would at least result in an initial screen conversation. Asking because I've applied to numerous roles that I'm qualified, or even over qualified for, where I've been referred by a former colleague or connection and have either never receive a response or am given an automated email rejection. Is this not disingenuous to employees, especially when they're often told their are bonuses tied to successful referrals? If an employee takes the time to refer a potential candidate, don't you at least owe it to the employee to speak to the candidate they refer? All this to say, the current process for recruitment and hiring appears to be broken - we seem to have lost our sense of community and human touch when building organizations.
