Entertain the hypothetical, โ€œwhatย ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ฅย you do if you received a counteroffer?โ€ ย  ๐—›๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜ย ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒย ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜„ย ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐˜†: Emphasize the positives that the new role has to offer and how it aligns with their long-term career goals. Stress the importance of commitment if one is genuinely excited about the new opportunity, but make yourself available as support to the candidate through their transition into their new employer.
