"If it really works, why would they give it away for free?" I just saw this comment on an Instagram reel about a guy who was teaching a small way to make passive income. It speaks to a fundamental misunderstanding about premium businesses. I can teach you everything I do. I can show you my shoots, my business practice, my thoughts on framing, lighting, composure, motion blur, masking edits, and everything else I've learned. I can put it all in a video and ALL it will get me... is leads. Because if you can do these TWO THINGS, people will want to hire you: 1. Show expertise. Show that you know your craft inside and out and people will want to work with you, even if there is someone else who is technically better that can't communicate it. 2. Communicate your abilities to those in the field you want to service. The CEO of a construction company may not be able to properly iterate how he wants to showcase his ad visually, or what their LTV/CAC ratio is and how to utilize it. But if you can bridge that gap for them, you have a dedicated customer who is also a fan. Ultimately give the information away for free. They'll hire you for the implementation.

Alright, this post may rub a few business owners the wrong way, but it's necessary... If you're doing business from an @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @outlook.com, etc. email account, and not a professional company domain (e.g. @mycompanyname.com), it's really not a good look. It doesn't make you appear as an established business, and it creates a poor first branding impression with potential customers. It doesn't scale when hiring additional employees. It's not as secure as a professional company domain. In today's digital world, trust and professionalism start with the basics. If you've gone through the trouble of purchasing a domain for your website, you owe it to yourself to get your email set up the right way using the same domain. We can help.
