On this day January 15,2024 is Martin Luther King day ,but for me this day is a day of sickness for me. You may recognized three of the four in this picture, but the most important one for me is the young who is my mother. She taught me to fight for people and justice. She said” activism is an action not a dream” Martin Luther King Jr., a towering figure in the civil rights movement, is widely celebrated for his advocacy of nonviolent protest and his commitment to social justice. However, as society continues to grapple with systemic inequalities and injustices, there is a growing need to move beyond mere remembrance of historical figures and embrace a more proactive approach to activism. While King's legacy remains an inspiration, it is imperative for individuals to actively engage in contemporary activism to address the pressing issues of our time. This necessitates a departure from solely honoring historical figures and calls for a more dynamic and inclusive approach to activism. The Power of Contemporary Activism Contemporary activism has the potential to effect profound change in society. In the digital age, social media platforms have become powerful tools for raising awareness, organizing movements, and amplifying marginalized voices. Grassroots initiatives and community organizing have also proven to be effective in driving local and global change. Stop cheering for what was done and do something now. Written by: Dr. Paul W Dyer

In the annals of time, a beacon of justice and equity emerged, embodied in the symbolism of Martin Luther King Jr. His words, like poetry, etched the "I Have a Dream" speech into the shades of our collective conscience. Urging for justice, he emphasized the urgency of "now" in dismantling the chains of discrimination. As we navigate the currents of our current global landscape, King's humanitarian acts resonate as a timeless call for justice, echoing across every stratum of human engagement. His legacy is not confined to the pages of history but breathes in the air of our commitment to freedom, justice, and equality. Today, we stand at the precipice of a new era, where the echoes of King's words remind us that justice is not a fleeting notion but a constant endeavor. In prose rhyme, let the significance of this day be a melody of commitment, a song of learning, and a proud anthem for a generation poised to shape a world defined by justice, equity, and freedom. May the lessons of Martin Luther King Jr. be eternally inscribed in our hearts, guiding us to forge a future where justice is a birthright, equality is unwavering, and freedom is universal. On this day, let our commitment be profound, our pride in the journey of justice resounding, and our dedication to a better world unwavering. Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a celebration not just of a man but of the enduring ideals he championed—freedom, justice, and equality. May these ideals be our guiding stars, lighting the path for generations yet to come.
