You’re invited to the Empowered Women’s Leadership Conference 2024! We are redefining the paradigm of of feminine leadership in 2 days… Recently someone asked me why we were devoting our time, energy, and resources to creating this women’s conference. The answer is that we have never SEEN or BEEN TO an event like this one before. We have certainly attended conferences for women but they have not encompassed all of the things that women have to plan for and often worry about every day. You know those areas…..work-life harmony, wellness, wealth building, leadership, and relationships! Our desire was pretty simple: to create an experience that we WISH we had the opportunity to attend. Our vision is to unapologetically SHOW and TEACH the women who attend this event to define their leadership and their lives on their terms! This is more than an event….this is a MOVEMENT. A movement redefining what it means to be a woman in leadership Yes! We can be open and transparent and still be respected. Yes! We deserve and can get individualized support no matter where we are in our life or business. Yes! We can make relationships with other kickass women who are all in for our success. Yes! We can create lifelong connections that will validate us and our efforts. Yes! We can support and help other women, we can lift other while we rise! This is about… Empowering women to claim the life that’s meant for them! Becoming better mothers, partners, daughters, friends, & spouses! Reshaping the paradigm of equality for women in business & leadership! Going first and setting an example to shape future generations of leaders! We have lined up amazing leaders in their fields who are ready to rock our worlds! Today’s Featured Woman in our Your Hour Her Power campaign is the Executive Director of Dress for Success Kelowna, Lori Stevenson. “As we celebrate International Women’s Day with Dress for Success Kelowna’s Women in Leadership spotlight, it has given me an opportunity to reflect back on my career and its lessons. Some I have learned the hard way, some have been easy, but there have always been a few constants that have helped pave the way. If I had to offer a piece of advice to the female leaders of tomorrow, it would be to find your non-negotiables – the key values, beliefs, behaviours, etc. that you can lean into. A few that have helped me along the way are: 🔴 Be unapologetically authentic. Being true to yourself and embracing your unique qualities builds trust and respect, and it can set you apart as a leader who values genuine connections. No one is perfect, and no one expects you to be either - so be yourself. 🔴 Build a strong support network: Surround yourself with mentors, allies, and a supportive network of peers. Ask for feedback and guidance, share experiences, and learn from those who have walked similar (or vastly different!) paths. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, don’t feel the need to pretend to know everything that you think people “expect” you to. 🔴 Stay curious and committed to lifelong learning. The business, social and technological landscapes are constantly changing. Staying informed and adaptable is key to staying relevant and effective in leadership roles. Some of my best outcomes have come from those “I have no idea what I’m doing…” moments!
