🌟 What are deepc’s core values? 🌟 Within deepc, simplicity is a guiding principle that drives our innovation and efficiency. Our mantra? "As simple as possible, but no simpler." This means we strive to create solutions that are straightforward and effective, without unnecessary complexity. Working in medtech, we know that concepts can become quite complex. Building things with simplicity in mind helps us stay focused and directed towards the right solutions. 🏗️ To bring this value to life, we sat down with Samson David Puthenpeedika, Emerson Candido, and Yen Ling Wong, three members of our tech department, to dive into how simplicity shapes their daily work. Being tech engineers means working with complex code and systems to build our software. However, simplicity helps us make it better—by reducing the risk of bugs, making the code easier to understand and maintain, and improving overall performance. 💻 We believe that by embracing simplicity, we can deliver exceptional products and services that truly make a difference. Follow us next week for the last instalment and most celebrated one of our company values. 🚀 #OutstandingTogether #Values #Simplicity #TechInnovation #TeamCulture

Call me when you’re tired of working with crappy PR agencies. Webby Award nominee. Sometimes I talk into a microphone. Founder, Strategic Global Media | Co-Host, Second Act Stories Podcast
Some industry awards are worth entering and winning, but most of them aren't. A couple good ones, like Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Forbes AI 50, MotorTrend Group's Software-Defined Vehicle Innovator Awards, The Webby Awards, and others like them can really help a company stand out, but beware before you pay all that money to enter and win a meaningless trophy. Case in point: there's an awards program called The Stevie® Awards. They have categories for virtually every kind of business, and they charge good money for entries. Anyway, a former colleague of mine saw right through their program and decided to submit a completely fictional entry. Fake company, fake results, fake everything. It was bogus from word one. And he won a silver award. Beware when you consider paying money to nominate yourself. Not all awards are created equal, and lots of them are just there to take your money in exchange for very little prestige or value.

Business software gets the job done, but what if it could make work feel like play? Tools don’t have to be clunky or transactional anymore. They can — and should — sense your needs, optimize everything you do, and make work feel more *human*. This is possible with AI. Instead of rigid workflows that force you to conform, we can now create fluid experiences that mold to the way you naturally think — so you can stay in flow and focus on the work that actually matters. This is the future of work, it’s already here, and it's way more fun than you might think! I’m excited to explore it further with my friend Andrew Chen. Join us at TECH WEEK by a16z. I’ll drop the link below.

Modern business software is blurring the line between work and play. It’s very game-like. That’s not an accident—this shift is intentional and by design. In a game, you're not just completing tasks. You're having fun and unlocking new levels. AI can transform business software in the same way—allowing it to adapt to you, understand your needs, and make work more enjoyable. The future of work isn’t just efficient—it’s fun. And it’s already happening. Join Siqi Chen and Andrew Chen as they unpack how story, design and AI come together to change the way we work. It’s happening at TECH WEEK by a16z on Oct 9th: https://lnkd.in/gi66GP24

SME Transformations & Acquisitions. Join My SME Growth Cohort @ £0 (Limited offer, price goes up at 20 members)
And in the blink of an eye, September's beta run of the SME Growth Cohort is closed. It has been a whole lot of fun and we created a lot of value along the way. Here are a few highlights: - 8 SME owners/execs joined the cohort - Weekly improvements to the format based on member's suggestions - Members shared valuable connections to unlock funding and partnerships - The live Q&As have touched on a wide range of topics including: * Technical obstacles * Using AI for automation * Managing tech debt * Maximising the value of user data * Forecasting tech stack costs * Successful IT outsourcing * Data security * Funding * GDPR and more! The cohort is getting value and I'm having fun so we're going keep it going, exit beta mode and go live in October. I'd like more members in the cohort so I'll be keeping it free of charge for the time being. If you have questions about how to use modern tech to unlock growth at your SME, get involved.

Technology these days isn't just about AI (although a lot of it is). I had a great conversation with Mike Bechtel, chief futurist at Deloitte Consulting (awesome title, by the way) about six big tech trends for businesses in 2024 that you can't ignore. Seriously, don't ignore these. Watch the video! https://lnkd.in/e8mgBgcB

Becoming an AI-enabled enterprise isn’t a journey that proceeds in a straight line to a defined destination. It requires testing a hypothesis and adjusting along the way. And it unfolds in three phases—each of which requires more organizational confidence and momentum than the last. Discover more in our new blog. https://bit.ly/4aochGP

We all know how difficult it is to get inside the heads of young people… It’s why, when we begin each SuperSquad, we ask our young people a bunch of important questions 🤔 To us, it’s pretty important to understand where our Sherpees’ heads are at when it comes to different topics - and industries. In our latest SuperSquad, in collaboration with Accenture and HM Revenue & Customs, we asked our young people how well they thought the government served us today. Out of 10, the average was 4.5 🕴️ What’s more, a huge 63% of our 13 to 18-year-olds thought that the government did not serve them as a young person. And, 56% didn’t believe the government was modern, either. It’s why our design question for this squad is about how the government and our civil services can better implement tech and AI to serve us *all* better. We’ve popped the design question below too, if you’d like to take a look 👀 Have the results surprised you? Let us know in the comments 👇
