We can obtain the benefits of using AI for a wide range of applications. This particular case gathers the information from different coffee beans and using certain parameters produced a blend for that particular market and taste. Applications in chemistry are reducing the time to develop synthetic routes or product formulations with great success.

If you enjoy coffee, this blend might be for you. An AI created roast that combines not the usual two or three types of beans, but four. From a leading coffee roaster in Finland. There will be more food and drink products coming soon that were created with the help of AI. Maybe even a restaurant that creates everything you eat aided by AI. Different combinations that haven't been tried before. All from the creative engine of a human brain combined with AI. https://lnkd.in/g4f-eSm5

DOES "PREDICTIVE AI" DELIVER MORE VALUE THAN "GENERATIVE AI"...??? Earlier this month when I had unexpectedly developed extremely severe symptoms from Covid I was grateful to be treated by an effective antiviral drug at home. I later discovered that my medication was partly developed using Predictive AI, and that the pharmaceutical company had saved months in math computation to get the drug out to market at lightning speed. So --- Which kind of AI should companies focus on—Generative AI, which produces writing, computer code snippets, images, video and other content to mimic/replace humans.....or Predictive AI which targets marketing, builds social connections, makes retail recommendations, automates payment, detects fraud, develops healthcare treatment, arranges transportation logistics around the world, forecasts weather patterns and is deployed in thousands of established operations.... with decades of experience. Predictive AI — biased applications such as surveillance, recruiting, and loan processing notwithstanding — begins with a value proposition by first identifying an important problem and then figuring out how best to solve it. On the other hand, Generative AI is an attractive "cool and sexy" technology searching for a problem—aka solutionism. As University of Toronto professor Mihnea Moldoveanu put it, "AI strategies fail because AI is a means, not an end. 'Do you have an AI strategy?' makes as much sense as asking, 'Do we have an Excel strategy?' Predictive AI is The Original AI, the Original Coca Cola. The Original AI, the kind of established enterprise use case of machine learning that has accumulated decades of results: ✔ Predictive AI often delivers a higher return on investment. Predictive AI works on large-scale enterprise processes. Mature organizations such as UPS have streamlined their business as rote, systematic, uniform processes that are ripe for predictive optimization saving tens of millions of dollars. No UPS employee uses a GenAI ChatBot. ✔ The Predictive AI market is expected to reach $64 Billion by 2025. The Generative AI market dropped from 7% to 4% raking in a few fallen leaves.... 2.5 Billion last year despite the most aggressive technology campaign ever seen in the world by hundreds of millions of surrogates. ✔ Predictive AI is fully autonomous and Generative AI is not. When you get a weather forecast from Predictive AI you're not going to check ten different sources to see if that's right or not. E-commerce via Predictive AI sets the price for each purchase, from flights to flashlights. ✔ Predictive AI leaves a carbon footprint orders of magnitude less than Generative AI. To all legacy sectors, a quick lesson from Blockbuster and Netflix. The former failed to adapt to new technologies and consumer demands, while the latter not only embraced them but revolutionized the industry. This serves as a reminder that no one is too big to fail. The wine industry is currently facing unprecedented struggles with consumer marketing. A significant component of its problem stems from the insular, inward looking mindset of the industry. (More on this shortly.) Given the inevitable rise of AI, the marketing adaptation challenges will continue expand and can no longer be swept aside. At first glance, this research might seem like a case of artificial intelligence hype. Really, analyzing beer with AI to design a better brew? Once you get into the details of the data involved, however, the work makes a lot of sense. After cataloging the chemical compounds in and 180,000 human reviews of 250 different Belgian beers, then training 10 different machine learning models on that information, you can figure out which algorithm triumphs over current statistical methods. That algorithm can then start making predictions about which flavors would enhance the taste of a particular beer, and blind taste tests can (and did) confirm those recommendations. That success shows how combining massive amounts of data and machine learning can find correlations between food chemistry and flavors that go far beyond making non-alcoholic beers taste better. A model that can successfully predict what tastes good from complex interactions of chemical components could completely change what we eat. #artificialintelligence #ai #beer #belgianbeer #foodscience

Predictive AI Industry >10X Bigger than Generative AI While everybody talks about #OpenAI and #Generative #AI, the machine learning/deep learning networks based AI is much much bigger. The #predictive nature of #machine #learning is a more mature #technology, generates already 10s of billions of USD in revenues, delivers high #ROI and is growing. Generative AI is slightly declining after it reached the peak of inflated expectations and is heading for the trough of disillusionment. Predictive AI is used almost everywhere: - Healthcare - e-commerce - weather forecast - medicine development - factory automation - autonomous vehicles - ......
