In honor of World Humanitarian Day on August 19th, we've been running a month-long global donation drive to support children in need. We're proud of our Avetta team members who have collected supplies for local schools and stocked food banks, making a real difference in our communities. Every backpack filled and meal provided represents hope for a child and support for a family. Thank you to our incredible Avetta employees – your kindness is creating positive change. Let's keep this momentum going!

On this #NationalDayOfServiceandRemembrance, let's honor the lives lost on 9/11 by embodying the spirit of unity and compassion that arose in its aftermath. Dedicating ourselves to serving our communities is a powerful way to pay tribute to those we lost and create a more positive future.
Here are some meaningful ways you can give back:
⏩Volunteer at a Local Food Bank: Help pack meals for those in need and ensure no one goes hungry.
⏩Participate in a Community Clean-Up: Join local efforts to beautify your neighborhood and create a welcoming environment for all.
⏩Donate Blood: Consider donating blood at a local blood drive to help save lives in your community.
⏩Support a Veteran Organization: Volunteer your time or donate to organizations that support veterans and their families.
⏩Perform Random Acts of Kindness: Whether it’s paying for someone’s coffee or writing a note of appreciation, small gestures can make a big impact.
Let's turn this day of remembrance into a day of action. Share your ideas for serving others in the comments below! #ServiceToOthers#HonorAndRemember #911 #NeverForget
Our hearts and thoughts are with all those affected by #HurricaneHelene, both in Western North Carolina and the surrounding areas 💔
The devastation left behind is unimaginable, with countless families displaced and communities left to rebuild. As Carolinians, we believe in standing together during these difficult times. That’s why #NCHFMA is donating $1,000 to help provide immediate relief to those affected. We’re also asking our members and partners to join us in supporting these efforts. No amount is too small — every dollar can make a difference in bringing food and comfort to those in need.Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)

Personal post alert... and it is a bit hard hitting
❓ Did you know that the average age of death for people experiencing homelessness is 46 for men and 42 for women...
❔ Homeless people are over nine times more likely to take their own life than the general population.
❓ People sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence. More than one in three people sleeping rough have been deliberately hit or kicked or experienced some other form of violence whilst homeless. People have even been set on FIRE.
❔ The statistics show that one third of care leavers become homeless in the first two years immediately after they leave care and 25% of homeless people have been in care at some point in their lives.
I am not only a care leaver, but have personally been homeless and at risk of homelessness many times in my younger years – so raising money for this great cause is also somewhat personal.
All donations are so very much appreciated, and I am looking forward to seeing just how much I (we) can raise this year! 🙏

Thinking of how you can make the most of "Random Acts of Kindness Day" today? Take a moment to help those experiencing homelessness: donate to organizations like PCCI who are helping find housing for those in need, or if you have an extra blanket or warm socks to give, those are always appreciated.

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference.
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. Our Managing Director Phil Allison is helping to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, he'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, your donation can really help.
Will you help Phil reach his target?
Donating can make a huge difference to people who need it most.

In the extreme summer heat, remember that those experiencing homelessness are at risk for heatstroke, dehydration, heat exhaustion and more.
Your donation to SFSM can help us provide much needed services to help nourish and nurture those in need, which is especially important during extreme weather.
