As of now, the current status of the investigation into the Japan Airlines A350 crash is as follows: 1. Japan Airlines and airplane manufacturer Airbus are both part of the investigation into the collision. 2. Preliminary reports indicate that the pilots of the Japan Airlines flight did not spot any aircraft on the runway before the collision. 3. The specific details surrounding the incident remain uncertain 4. Airbus will provide technical assistance to the Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses (BEA) of France and will dispatch a team of specialists to assist the authorities 5. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and further details are not yet available 6. At the same time, all 367 passengers and 12 crew on the JAL aircraft escaped. Ten years after the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, the fate of the aircraft, passengers, and crew remains unknown. Over the last decade, there have been many theories about what might have happened to the flight, but without the aircraft's location, it is still one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history. Flight MH370, which disappeared from radar on March 8th, 2014, was operated by a Boeing 777-200, registration 9M-MRO. While the aircraft was in good flying condition at the time of the disappearance, it had been involved in a minor incident nearly two years before. Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd (MAG), the parent group of Malaysia Airlines, expects to receive its first Airbus 330-900 (A330neo) in the third quarter (3Q) of this year along with a total of 12 new aircraft in the year 2024. - The 12 aircraft fleet induction will include four A330neo and eight Boeing 737-8, to support its network growth requirements. - MAG said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Avolon in August 2022 for the acquisition of 20 Airbus 330-900 (neo), scheduled to be delivered by 2028. - For the 20 A330neo deal, 10 of them are directly purchased from Airbus with a back-to-back sale and leaseback arrangement with Avolon, while the remaining 10 are leased directly from Avolon. #aircraft #fleet #aviation

Airbus Group (EPA:AIR) has signed another order at the Singapore air show, taking its tally closer to rival Boeing Co (NYSE:BA, ETR:BCO) as the latter reels from the groundings of its 737 Max 9 jets last month. Airbus said a memorandum of understanding had been agreed with Vietjet Air for 20 Rolls-Royce-powered A330-900 aircraft on Thursday. These will replace the carrier’s current fleet and come after the French manufacturer unveiled orders for eight jets from Taiwan-based Starlux on Wednesday. Boeing has indeed scored orders itself, with the US firm looking to rebound from a decline in activity in January on the back of an incident in which a door panel fell off one of its 737 Max 9s mid-flight. Agreements include orders from Royal Brunei Airlines for four 787 Dreamliners and Thai Airways for 45 of the wide-body jets, though the latter represented a pre-arranged ceremonial signing after the duo reached...
