Ever thought about your job interview like a pre-flight checklist? Just like pilots prepare for takeoff, you need to understand your passenger (the employer). Here's how to soar: Don't Just Tell Stories, Ask Questions: Before sharing your career highlights, focus on understanding the employer's needs. What challenges are they facing? What skills are they looking for? This is your flight plan. Discover Their Destination: By asking the right questions, you'll uncover their "destination" – the goals they want to achieve. This helps you tailor your experience to their specific needs. Navigate the Conversation: Just like pilots adjust to turbulence, be ready to adapt your responses based on their feedback. Remember, it's a two-way conversation. Land the Job: By demonstrating your problem-solving skills and understanding their needs, you'll be well on your way to securing that dream role. Ready to take your interviewing skills to new heights? Share your best interview questions in the comments! Let's help each other land the perfect aviation job. #interview #aviationworld #avgeek #interviewprep #jetblue #flightattendant #pilotlife #aircraft #airbus #united #aviationmaintenance #aviationlovers #crewlife #resume #frontier #cabincrewjobs #aviator #aviationjobs #southwest #aviationtraining #aviationdaily #boeing #aviationjobs #americanairlines #hiring #pilot #aviationgeek #careercoach #cabincrew #resumereview

"Unfortunately on this occasion, you have been unsuccessful..." Sound familiar? Airlines won't typically offer feedback from cabin crew interviews, and this is to do with the volume of applicants they receive and candidates they interview for the roles. So below are a few very simple reasons you may not have passed the interview stage... ✈︎ You didn't do your research on the airline you applied for ✈︎ You didn't come dressed for the job you want ✈︎ You faded into the background during the group activities Each airline have their specific requirements and 'team-fit' candidates which can be almost impossible to know unless you do your research. Don't wing it on your second, third, or even fourth attempt. Hit up Sky Coach and get in touch with industry experts to set you up for success! #theskycoach #cabincrewcoach #flightattendant

An interview test to see if you have life beyond work? This is called an “Airport Test”, but what is it exactly? Simply put, the "airport test" is a metaphorical concept used in interviews to assess whether you would be comfortable spending time with a candidate outside of work! The interviewer asks himself the question, “Whether I’d be able to spend a few hours with this person if I happen to get stuck with him at an airport waiting?” It gauges multiple elements of your personality! But why is it so important? 1. Chemistry Counts: Skills are crucial, but so is the ability to get along and collaborate seamlessly. Would you be excited to catch up with them outside the office, or would you prefer to keep things strictly professional? 2. Attitude Matters: Everyone has bad days, but would this person’s demeanour make the day more enjoyable or more challenging? 3. Cultural Fit: Team dynamics are as important as individual performance! The right fit can turn a good team into a great one. If you’d grab a coffee with them during a layover, they might just be the perfect addition to your team. My most valuable advice for people prepping for the Air Force Academy? Work on your communication skills. I’m talking about getting good at speaking, nailing interviews, and being able to share your thoughts clearly and concisely. With all the tech around us, it’s easy to lose touch with how to have a real convo. That ability to chat well and give spot-on answers isn’t just important for acing academy interviews. It’s gold for any path you’re on—school, jobs, you name it. Sharpen those communication skills. Trust me, being able to express yourself well can set you apart in any competitive scene. #airforceacademy #airforce #students #studenttips #collegetips #aviation #pilotlife #viraltips
