Attracting the best talent isn't easy. It is, however, a lot easier to stand out to the talent your organization needs if you can capture their attention in the first place. It's amazing what a positive impact incorporating video into job postings makes. At Pivot + Edge, our customers see 34% more applications to job postings that include video vs not. We also see a big uptick in responses from candidates we're sourcing when the sourcing messaging includes video as well. Sometimes the bare minimum works, but do you really want to rely on "sometimes" as you're trying to build your team to be ready for 2025?

We recently took a break from the code to focus on the real magic - our team! Through a fun-filled team event, we built bridges (literally and metaphorically) to strengthen communication, relieve stress, and nurture a positive company culture. Board games sparked lively debates (and maybe a healthy rivalry!), activities challenged our creativity, and shared victories solidified our Atrina family bond. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴? Because strong communication, a supportive network, and a healthy dose of fun are the building blocks for a thriving team. These experiences promote collaboration, where brilliant minds create amazing products. Facing changes is exciting yet challenging. It's natural to want to point fingers and blame others, but ultimately, change is always for the best. Truthfully, I did not expect this kind of reaction from my customers, friends and connections. I feel blessed for the appreciation and acknowledgments. Your kindness has helped me reflect and set my focus on key principles as I evaluate the next step of my professional journey. People don't leave companies; they leave due to the organization's leadership, or lack thereof. My primary focus will always be on positive and supportive leadership, building a company culture centered on people. Companies often use the term "Customer Centric." However, to truly become that kind of company, you first and foremost need to be "People Centric."

I can still remember by first week at Rincon. For the first few days I did my best to look the part, business casual, a crisp tucked in shirt. Then one day, Frank (our facilities manager at the time) walks by my office and stops....welcomes me again to the company, then asks "When are you going to start wearing shorts?" It's been almost 8 years since Frank stopped by, but that simple comment, and the years of wonderful work that followed, represents the culture we have and will protect at Rincon. It's one that recognizes and encourages people to be live free, think free, and be who they are. This environment oozes innovation because we don't let the little things get in the way. For me, this means when I, or my team, have the chance to brief a visiting group on the work we do, who we are, and what the RIC is at Rincon, it's easy. There is nothing easier than being yourself. I worked in the consulting world for seven years, doing everything from role-out O365 and ghostwriting for CIOs to developing go-to-market playbooks. While it paid the bills, and I learned from so many wonderful people along the way, something was missing. As my role has evolved over the last two years, I’ve been fortunate to see that it wasn’t all lip service. Working across all business units of this organization, I’ve seen that the people are what make this company so amazing. The level of passion for what we do and who we do it for is higher than at any other company I’ve ever worked at. My job here is to help ensure that our associates have a cohesive #experience.
