I don't usually share a lot about my life, but today I felt like breaking that because I am inspired. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to complete the Odyssey Assessment for the Graduate Management Trainee Program at The South African Breweries/AB InBev, and what an intense experience it was! 🚀 The assessment pushed me to think critically, manage my time effectively, and adapt to complex scenarios. It was not easy, but the challenge was invigorating! 💡. I remember doing a multiple-choice questionnaire of 60 questions on various scenarios and managerial choices, and I can tell you that almost all of the answers were correct!😁 The application process was fairly easy, but it took me a whole week to prepare all the necessary documents. From updating my CV to writing a compelling and strong cover letter, the preparation process itself was a great way to reflect on my career goals and aspirations. The job post truly resonated with me, motivating me to put forth my best effort.👌🙌 However, every step of the process was a great learning opportunity, testing both technical skills and strategic thinking. 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐁𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞. Sometimes you forget that everything you are doing, including your career, is only a dream of yours in the past And you asked God a lot of prayers for that to happen and you put your efforts to reach where you are now. But at the moment, you're putting yourself in comparison to those who are more established or in better positions than you. Do not do it, please. It will destroy your mindset, cause you to worry about everything, and foster a complaining mindset. Although I assure you that it's all in the process, the work you are performing now may not be your ideal career. Being a manager requires joining a company and gaining experience as a trainee. Take a moment to appreciate the good things in your life, no matter how big or small. Even the things you might take for granted are often cherished dreams for many around the world. Be mindful of the opportunities and blessings you have, and use them to make a positive impact on your own life and the lives of others. Be patient and have faith in the process. Insha Allah you will be where you want to be. The highlight of my year, celebrating our trainees graduating our management trainee programme. It is always an honour and a privilege to be part of our trainees journey and help give them the experiences and opportunities to grow into the best version of themselves, and I can’t wait to see how each of them develop and grow in their careers. It is also a great opportunity for reflection and as we shared some principles they have learnt on the programme, it’s clear that they apply to everyone, every day. - Get comfortable being uncomfortable as it’s only by stepping outside your comfort zone that you grow. - There is no such thing as a silly question, continue to be curious and always look to expand your knowledge - Always challenge yourself to look at how you/the business can do better and make sure you don’t become someone who says “but that’s how we do things”

Learning from the experience of others: It can help us identify potential pitfalls, ensure we have accurate information, and can provide us with strategies and knowledge we might not otherwise have. Among the ways this can occur are through job shadowing, mentoring, or from interviews with workers. It allows us to broaden our perspective, develop empathy, and understand different ways of thinking and living. Additionally, learning from others can help us avoid repeating the same mistakes and can inspire us to pursue new goals and aspirations. Happy Learning With New Year 2024.
