"Dangling the Carrot" 🥕 is a tactic I love using during the discovery process. It's about creating a buzz without giving everything away upfront. For example, if a prospect asks about a particular functionality, instead of diving deep into the details, I hint at the solution by saying, "Yes, we can, and I can’t wait for you to see this part in the demo." This way, I build up anticipation, making the demo an event they're genuinely excited to see. It's fascinating to see how this approach not only preserves those "WOW" 😲 moments for the demo but also noticeably reduces the chances of prospects cancelling or not showing up because they can't wait to see our solution in action. #discovery #sales #salesengineering

One of the biggest screw up companies make with their leads: → Mismanaging trade show/event leads/contacts They usually leave vague notes in a spreadsheet and send it off to sales. And then sales takes a week to email them. And when they do email them, they treat every contact as a lead and every lead as a contact And when the email is read, it's generic as hell. Do this instead... If contact shows interest at the show, consider it a lead: a) Do a demo on spot b) Get their cell # c) Book them for a demo (if they can't do it in real time) d) If you're not the one demoing, make a formal email intro to the sale rep. e) Take a selfie and text it to them during the show (you have their cell) And the ones that didn't show interest...yeah...well those are not leads.
