If you thought the Basel III Endgame NPR was a lot to digest and analyze, you will now have to add these proposals to the mix: new total loss absorbing capital requirements, new long-term debt requirements, and revised IDI resolution plan requirements for banks with $100 billion or more in assets. Banks with assets between $50 billion and $100 billion will also need to analysis additional resolution plan information requirements. These new proposals should be considered in conjunction with the Basel III Endgame NPR to determine the overall impact to banking organizations.
Save the Date! Next week, our Board of Directors will meet in open session on Tuesday, August 29th at 10 a.m. ET. The full agenda and link to the livestream is available here ➡ https://lnkd.in/eQ3xk3Cp

It was an amazing evening on Tuesday, February 6th, as the The African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ) hosted a forum titled, “The Fierce Urgency of Now,” that dissected the State of New Jersey’s recently released Disparity Study. It was no shock to black businesses and diverse founders that it ‘was that bad’ for people of color doing business with the State of New Jersey. Dr. Denise Anderson led the discussion and did an amazing analysis. Here are some quick highlights: · overwhelming disparity between the number of minority- and women-owned construction companies and the percentage of projects they win in the state. · 28% of construction firms in the state are minority-owned, and only received just 3.7% of state-awarded prime contracts · For goods and services contracts, minority businesses represented 23.6% of all firms but won just 4.2% of contracts Furthermore, the report found “statistically significant” disparities in the awarding of subcontracts to minorities across all contract and procurement activities. See the link for the complete report: https://lnkd.in/dhi7kh9x #minorityownedbusiness #diversityandinclusion #supplierdiversity #blackbusiness

AI, as a systems technology, offers great opportunities but also requires safeguards. We demand cars and medicines to be developed safely and responsibly. The same is also needed for AI. We need oversight and global rules of the game to prevent a race to the bottom and towards recklessness. On responsible AI, I will be speaking today at the #AISummitTalks 👇🏻
*** Announcing new panellists! *** For the second edition of #AISummitTalks, we are honoured to add Max Tegmark and Ron Roozendaal to the already fantastic panel! I'm looking forward to giving an update on the progress of our State of the Region 2024 project tomorrow. This key evidence base will enable us and our partners to better understand the current and potential future economic, socio-economic and environmental state of our region. It will inform the development of a long-term ambition for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough as a place, our positioning with government, and deepening devolution and inward investment proposals. And it will give a clear sense of areas we need to prioritise, underpinning a call to action for co-ordinated policy and strategy development. #insight #data #evidencebased
The @CambsPboroCA Board will meet tomorrow at 10am. You will be able to watch the livestream here: https://bit.ly/3PHlXDV and the committee papers can be found here: https://bit.ly/4abFcNG

A huge pleasure to take part in this discussion and many thanks to Lisa and the Writer’s Guild for hosting it. As you’ll see if you watch it, I’m keen to start a conversation about the way the industry views soap writers. We are an enormous, vastly experienced, largely untapped resource that could - and should - be working across the industry to tell new, original stories. If producers and commissioners could recognise CDS writers more, offering them the chance to create new work and to be part of writing teams on other shows, then there would be far more opportunities for new voices from every demographic to make their way into the industry. The ladder of career progression has all but disappeared. I think it’s time to bring it back. Writing for CDS shows is - in screenwriting terms - like spending every day working out at the gym. We’re fast, precise, endlessly creative, and we deliver quality scripts day in day out to hard immovable deadlines. So - have a listen to the discussion and let me know what you think. It’s a time of great change in our industry, which means it’s a time of huge opportunity. Let’s put the experienced CDS writers to work and get things moving again!
