After we outline what we do, when a client says this to me, I generally know they have a very limited view of the role of the Executive Assistant. If anyone thinks that doing more Word and Excel training will future-proof the EA role, or provide a solid capability framework for an effective EA team, then they need educating on the true value and worth of what an EA can do.
