Genesys is both a Scuderia Ferrari and a Arrow McLaren Indycar Partner! AI, or Artificial Intelligence, is one of the themes in Formula 1 2024. We have seen several AI-partners join Formula 1 and also renew partnerships. Genesys is one of the interesting tech-partners in Formula 1 2024. The company renewed recently, 28th of February, the partnership with Scuderia Ferrari. What is interesting is that the day before, on the 27th of February, Genesys signed a partnership agreement also with Arrow McLaren Indycar team. Genesys, "a leader in cloud experience orchestration", had a strong 💪 fiscal year 2023, surpassing, for the first time, $2 billion in total revenue. Genesys Cloud revenue growth was approximately 50 %. Genesys chairman and CEO is Tony Bates, a former Skype CEO. Genesys uses dynamic data and AI-powered technology to "create exponential value for customers, employees and business by coordinating every step of every experience". For sure an interesting partner for both Scuderia Ferrari and Arrow McLaren 🙌 Photos: Scuderia Ferrari and Arrow McLaren

True to the luxury automaker's motto, "There are no limits," when it comes to providing experience excellence, McLaren has no finish line. The company saw a move to the cloud as a way to bring greater agility to its business-critical systems and make it possible to leverage the value of its data for a unified view between design, manufacturing, and the post-sales experience. You need cutting-edge technology to deliver unique customized experiences while controlling cloud spend and maximizing the value of your resources. #McLarenCloud #DataDrivenInsights

Oshri is another rare, high-quality CTO. The depth of this post is bigger than he intended... Many wealthy people drive Toyota because it is a smart business decision. In my opinion, that's the root of his post. Ferrari, on the other hand, makes sexy and fast cars, but... * Horrible welds on the chassis, much mechanical clunk * Snooty sales, you need to buy a cheap Ferrari before they will let you get a flagship one * They will sue you for certain mods to the car (even though you own it, see Deadmaus) * Everything is bespoke (where Toyota is a big part of Lean and KanBan, leading to higher reliability and interchange of parts) * More people can work on a Toyota, but a Ferrari needs a very special, probably expensive, person to get that job done. There is more, but I really thought this was a solid post. Toyota gets you there reliably; is that not the goal of software? #bestadvice
Some CTOs build the Ferrari of tech. I chose to build the Toyota of tech. Toyota may not sound sexy, but it is always reliable, available when you need it, has a low maintenance cost, and a scratch on the dashboard won't cost you $75,000. Ferrari is sexy, it's slick, it's fast but is not practical or useful beyond getting eyeballs (funding and news interest), is wildly expensive to maintain, takes a long time to deliver, and is highly customized for no reason except for ego...

🚗 The shift to software-defined vehicles (#SDVs) is huge! Automakers need to be bold, break some rules, and team up with top tech partners like Microsoft and OpenAI. #SDVs bring benefits like upgradability and increased reliability, transforming the car ownership experience. The development cycles go down from 3-4 years down to 1-1,5!! ⚠ BMW Group seem to be managing the transition better than others Read more at 🚘💡 #AutoInnovation #SDVs #TechPartners

'Lewis Hamilton set for a shock switch to Ferrari in 2025?' I was working on Snowflake when the rumor mill started going crazy in the afternoon. This made me think, can we relate F1 with Snowflake? 🤔 Here are some of my observations - 🔄Dynamic Scaling: Just as an F1 team adjusts a car's setup in real-time based on race conditions, Virtual Warehouses can be scaled up or down instantly, ensuring data queries are processed with optimal speed and resource use. 🔧 Resource Optimization: Balancing compute resources in a Virtual Warehouse mirrors how an F1 team manages fuel, tire wear, and aerodynamics to maximize performance while minimizing waste. 🛠️Custom Configurations: Different types of Virtual Warehouses (Standard, Snowpark-optimized) allow for specialized setups, akin to how F1 cars are tailored for specific tracks—wet, dry, or with varying degrees of complexity. 🚀 Efficiency and Agility: Ensuring data processing is as swift and agile as an F1 car, Virtual Warehouses guarantee that every 'lap' your data takes is executed with precision, speed, and efficiency, leading to timely insights and decisions. Would love to know your thoughts on this! #snowflake #snowflakedatacloud
