REFUSING to be just a +1 When we were working on the +1 campaign at Future Generali, I naturally wondered if I experienced the same, to which the answer was a definitive yes. Women, despite success and supportive families, often prioritise other considerations over themselves, and are constantly trying to balance the fine line between our aspirations and responsibilities. Yes, Saurabh’s+1 has made her share of sacrifices, such as prioritising family relocation over an offer from a dream company (at least at that time!). Looking back, I have no regrets and wouldn't change it, but the "what if" thought always invites introspection. Relocating to a foreign country brought unique hurdles, requiring me to redefine myself in unfamiliar environments. I stayed focused, worked hard, constantly learnt and remained resilient. Despite the difficulties, these experiences facilitated my personal growth and self-discovery. I refused to conform to the role of a mere plus one, opting instead to carve my own path. Life didn't go exactly as planned, but its twists and turns have brought me to where I am today: happy, yet energised to make more things happen. I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything! To those at crossroads in their lives, I say: Embrace the journey, for challenges fuel our strength. The journey may not pan out exactly like you had planned, but don’t give up and keep moving forward. Every step forward, no matter how small, leads to our goals and aspirations. At AXA Headquarters, we are keen to support the development of our people through very concrete actions !   Working at the headquarter of a large Insurance company is for sure a great source of personal and professional growth learning on Strategy, international and global markets, stakeholder management and senior leaders exposure, technical expertise… The question that comes next is often about career path and how can we navigate after this type of position in a large group like AXA.   To support our employees on their thinking and empower them in their development, we have built a "Career Lab" ✨!   Our Goal is simple : 👉 create connection with entities and share perspective 👉 higlight individuals’ concrete mobility testimony 👉 and work on transferable skills which can allow each of us to navigate in the Group and build robust career path through RH dedicated coaching.   This new initiative had been launched last week starting with 2 large transversal entities AXA XL & AXA Investment Managers   A big thanks to all Business leaders who joined to share with passion their priorities and business challenges, to HRD who present their job families and opportunities and to all movers (!) who shared their individual story. So inspiring to understand better the structure of those 2 large companies and see how we can create bridges! We are looking forward to welcome AXAFrance with Amélie Watelet and Guillaume Borie and AXA Commercial Digital Platform with Pierre du Rostu and Elise Fraval in September.   🚀 For sure, we are ONE AXA and a great company where we can grow our potential and “care” for each individuals development.
