Here's how to create 3D key animation 👇 (Easy steps) I will share you the project file and assets if you comment "gold" 🔑 1. Key 🔑 It is NOT a 3D model, I made it myself. ▶ With shape tool create: - Top ring - Body (Straight line) - That bumpy thing in the middle - Ward (Thing in the end of the key) ▶ Convert shapes to 3D layer ▶ Change comp renderer to Cinema 4D ▶ Geometry options: - Bevel style convex - Bevel depth 7 - Extrusion depth 4 ▶ Material options, (Adjusts how light reacts to the shape): - Metal 0% - Diffuse 66% - Specular intensity 100%, shininess 11% ▶ Parent link everything to 3D null object - Animate motion with null object :)) 🌙 2. Light & Key shining 🌙 ▶ Add 2 Spotlights, 1 Ambient Light ▶ Add an adjustment layer only affecting the key, - Glow effect & experiment with threshold and radius - I used: 2 AJ's with glow threshold 100%, 1 AJ with 65% ⭐ 3. Other Elements ⭐ ▶ Moving grid background ▶ Glowing Icons ▶ "Secret" text with low opacity ▶ Camera Movement ⚡ 4. I’m beyond thrilled to finally share some of the incredible work we’ve been creating using photo-realistic 3D character animation and AI-powered environments. This journey has been a true labor of love, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Represented here is our directors cut as the original spot evolved into a different campaign. One of the biggest challenges we faced was crafting lifelike characters that could emote and connect with audiences of all ages. From perfectly sculpted facial expressions to detailed textures, every step required an intense level of precision. Creating photo-real 3D models involves mastering detailed mesh structures, topology, and texturing to simulate lifelike skin, fabric, and environments . Our team also worked tirelessly to design a highly-structured pipeline, ensuring smooth transitions from concept art to final render. A process that helped us and the agency stay in sync and on budget. From mesh topology to rigging, texturing, and lighting, each phase demanded focused collaboration and constant iteration . This structured approach was crucial, especially given our limited budget. It allowed us to achieve the quality we envisioned while working efficiently, proving that you don’t need a blockbuster budget to create blockbuster-quality results! 💡✨ The key? 🛠️🚀 Mastering Fusion 360: Creating Exploded Views In my latest Fusion 360 session, I dove into the animation workspace to create an exploded view of a utility knife design. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the process: Navigating to Animation Workspace: Accessed the animation workspace in Fusion 360 to begin setting up an exploded view for the utility knife model. Setting Up Initial View: Ensured the initial view was set to a suitable perspective by adjusting the zoom and pan, while making sure to keep it aligned with the home view. Disabling View Capture: Temporarily disabled the view capture to freely manipulate the design without recording unintended view changes. Using Manual Transform: Selected "Manual Transform" from the Transform dropdown menu to start creating the exploded view manually. Initially worked from a right view to pull the overmold component away. Clicked on the canvas to confirm its new position and recorded this move at around 2 seconds in the timeline. Sequentially moved to the back grip component, reset its pivot, dragged it away, and recorded its movement in the timeline around 4 seconds. Switched to a back view to extract the front portion of the design by dragging it outwards and confirming its new position. Continued by selecting both the blade and blade holder together, resetting their pivot, pulling them forward, and then separately moving the blade away, all recorded in the timeline around 10 seconds. Finalizing Transformations: Ensured all components were positioned according to the desired exploded view configuration. Clicked "Okay" in the Transform dialog to confirm the changes. Reviewing the Animation: Played back the animation to verify the sequence and positioning of each component in the exploded view. Emphasized the importance of setting up named views for detailed drawings to capture specific angles effectively. Customizing Animation Settings: Explained options to adjust animation settings such as starting all movements simultaneously, overlapping transitions, or setting sequential timing using the recording mode. Highlighted the simplicity of the manual transform approach for precise control over component movements and timing. Saving the Design: Stressed the significance of saving the design frequently to preserve all changes made during the animation setup.
