This time we explore one future in which communities us augmented intelligence (AI) to articulate their shared goals and act in ways that are aligned with those values. Your analysis provides a comprehensive overview of the complex interplay between globalization, urbanization, education, economic factors, political dynamics, and societal influences on the evolving cultural landscape, particularly among the younger generations. Indeed, addressing these multifaceted challenges necessitates a holistic approach that encompasses various dimensions, including education reform to encourage critical thinking and cultural appreciation, responsive government policies that prioritize youth concerns, and initiatives aimed at fostering community engagement and a sense of belonging. Moreover, efforts to provide positive role models, combat economic pressures, and tackle addiction issues are also crucial components of any strategy aimed at nurturing a balanced societal ethos that respects both tradition and modernity. I feel a comprehensive approach to address these issues involves education reform, youth-centric policies, community engagement, role model cultivation, economic empowerment, political reforms, health initiatives, cultural exchange, media literacy, and international collaboration. Mindfulness and spirituality can bring greater meaning in life.

“It was a shock. We still don’t truly know how it works.” As companies, organizations, courts, and governments turn to #AI to assist in mor areas of decision-making, the need for #transparency and #governance becomes ever more critical. I can’t speak to the merits of the Infinite Campus solution that Nevada is using to help “identify which students were at risk of falling behind.” But the fact that the number of at risk kids fell by 75% “to less than 65,000, from over 270,000 in 2022” and the company is only offering “some broad insights” into how its system works, keeping the rest private because “its specific workings are proprietary,” certainly surfaces issues. Even assuming the company and the politicians who hired it, are well meaning, the dramatic difference from one year to the next, which has meaningful impact at the district- and school-level, needs to be accompanied by more detailed explanation of how the system works and what factors are driving the differences, and a broader communication plan to explain it to everyone — teachers, administrators, parents, students, policymakers, and the community at large. And TBH, this has nothing to do with AI. This is #ChangeManagement101: over-communicate what’s happening and why to everyone who should know. And get trusted representatives from the different partiee involved early in the process so they can be advocates for the change. https://lnkd.in/eAubarg4.
