At AXIS, #philanthropy is a core pillar of our #CorporateCitizenship program, as we continually strive to make a meaningful impact in our communities. Recently, a team of volunteers from our London office sorted and packed donations for families in need at Sebby's Corner. Sebby’s Corner is an organization based in Cowley Hill that supports families living in poverty by providing essentials such as diapers, clothing, formula and more. Thank you to all who participated in support of a great cause! 👏

Last week, Alton’s New York office took part in our Pledge 1% volunteer day initiative, once again teaming up with West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) in Manhattan to help alleviate hunger in the city. WSCAH’s crucial work ensures all New Yorkers have access with dignity to a choice of healthy food and support services. In support of the organization’s community-focused mission, the Alton team helped prepare 1,490 bags of fresh or shelf-stable food to serve more than 600 families in New York. Each year Alton supports Pledge 1% https://lnkd.in/eW_ANjH, where we not only donate 1% of our revenue, but also 1% of our time to charitable causes. Please join us in helping West Side Campaign Against Hunger with its impactful work by donating here: https://lnkd.in/d3eDAKJ #community #socialresponsibility #corporatecitizenship #givingback #WSCAH #Pledge1%

MICRO PHILANTHROPY is bringing in $1.5 million this year to StreetSmart Australia - small micro donations ($2 - $15). It works. People often think philanthropy is high-net worth family trusts donating large sums of money to social charities, health systems and the environment , but what they don't realise is - everyone can be a philanthropist. Many friends of mine still struggle to articulate the word 'Philanthropy', let alone grasp the concept about 'Micro-philanthropy'. This is why this year, StreetSmart are bringing about awareness of how small micro donations that are pooled collectively with others, can generate incredible large scale impact. The world and the communities we live in need more micro philanthropy. It's cool. It's a good thing. As always, a CTA link provided - https://lnkd.in/gw2P7t2

Property management agencies have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their communities. By partnering with key charities, they can support efforts to improve neighbourhoods and address specific needs within society. At Someday Property, for every lease property signed, we donate a warm blanket and pillow to children living in poverty around the globe via Child Fund Australia. At The Property Collective, we plant a tree for every property sold or leased through One Tree Planted. Whether you're looking to contribute to an important cause or donate time and effort to assist with local education or feeding programs, these partnerships can lead to lasting positive change. What are some creative community initiatives you're doing at your agency?

Mother of the term Femtech + two kids. Co-founded Clue. Working on a book about Femtech, and a think tank to articulate the link between Femtech, economy and planetary health. Travelled the world on motorcycle.
Imagine not being able to breastfeed nor afford buying formulas. What a desperate situation. Unimaginable in Europe. Not so! And why can’t mothers just breastfeed? Here is part of an answer: Thanks for getting back to me, it’s a complex problem, food banks are unable to provide formula milk because of the unicef guidelines, and many women can’t breast feed for so many reasons. It’s something that is so taboo in the uk with everyone pushing breast is best ideas but the reality is that many women struggle to breast feed, especially those who are in food poverty themselves. Some due to trauma, some have no support some have to go to work I mean the list is endless. If only breastfeeding where that simple, unfortunately for many women it’s not and the trauma of not being able to breastfeed resonates for a long time. Many health care professionals will suggest to a mother because the baby isn’t growing that they use both breast and formula milk and we all know that as soon as the anxiety kicks in that we aren’t providing enough for our babies the worse it gets. But the reason they can’t is really for another whole topic but it’s what don’t do if you can’t and you can’t afford it, this is the real issue facing so many. Maybe you want to support Naomi making a movie about this issue?
Thanks for letting me share Ida Tin. help support our film MILK and bring about long-term systemic change, that will see mothers being supported to feed their child in whatever way is best for them, with support and a change in policy no baby should go hungry. Tomorrow 6th of JUNE is infant feeding day created by the charity FEED who are supporting us to get the film seen by those in policy. They launched the campaign to raise awareness. Help us to do that by donating https://lnkd.in/eY6med3A
