Over the last 20 years, healthcare has gone enterprise, as consolidation shifted the workforce from delivering care independently to delivering care in corporate settings. In this time period, most tech innovation was focused on supporting physicians and clinicians as employees. But now with AI, all aspects of point of care are vulnerable to disintermediation, so delivery of care no longer depends on a single location, modality, or model.
