This development is highly promising for #mRNA-based #cancer therapies, as it shows successful site-specific delivery of mRNA to organs beyond the liver. Specifically, therapeutic mRNA encoding the #PTEN suppressor gene was effectively delivered to #prostate cancer cells using a DNA aptamer-conjugated #LNP-based delivery system. This targeted delivery restored PTEN function through the #PI3K-Akt signaling pathway and overcame #castration resistance in prostate cancer, as demonstrated by studies in both in vitro and in vivo models. This advancement could pave the way for #clinical trials of targeted anti-cancer mRNA therapies for prostate cancer patients. https://lnkd.in/gzcHq7mS
